#dev2days - I have been procrastinating because I have neglected to collect references again, but I tried out some simple-ish way to include some green and I don't think it works. I am missing something maybe.

#dev2days - I needed to look at something different, so I started sketching ideas of closer looks at scenery.
#dev2days - art stuff wasn't co-operating today so all i could do was try out some greyish color variation on this one. One day I'll get time to just finish this. I hope.
#dev2days - I've made more dirt layers. Its one of those "trust the process" moments but I don't really have a process, HEH.
I'm postponing my 2 day game dev progress to tomorrow to fix my schedule, I mixed stuff up and was barely managing with it then I realized I have no obligations, I can just do this because its healthy. Wow.
#dev2days - another layer. If nothing else you all will get to see my process.
I think there is a balance I still need to find, I used to have layer folders for every separate element or character, each with their own layers for base/shade/light/etc. But I think it became more work to manage than it was to just keep them together and lasso when needed, lol.
I used 1 layer for color, I used to use a lot more layers but at some point I would get lost in them making adjustments, So I try to minimize my layers now, at least to start with a broad stroke approach to start. I use layers where it helps, like I always keep my lines separate for example.
#dev2days - The enemy of my efficiency. color. This takes me way to long to get this far. I was just just trying to get like... a base of water to start from. Sometimes I wish I already spent a lifetime studying art.
#dev2days - I tried to add a little more to see if it adds to it. I was hoping to provide spaces for different kinds of movement when we flesh this out, but maybe it was better with less? Thoughts and feedback are still welcome.
Thank you, it means a lot to confirm my thoughts on this one, lol. Its been great to just have this grow from a vague idea in my head. I look forward to being able to finish something like this!
#dev2days - I'm still expanding my environment map concepts EVEN MORE. I'll have to stop eventually but for now this is extremely satisfying still.
The idea is this will be the "up" part which can be interrupted by a looping fall animation. I just wanted to give plenty of motion frames for however much "up" we want to apply to the jump, most of the time you'll only see the start but I couldn't stop messing with stuff in blender idk, lol.
#dev2days - went back to expanding my topographical environment for a change. I can't explain why I find this so satisfying, but also I keep more work for myself. Such is the process I guess.
#dev2days - I added some secondary motion and tried to rework the arms and hips and it took a while and i can no longer see what's right and wrong. Maybe i lost some of what worked in the leg motion when i changed the hip so it seemed less stiff? feedback welcome.
I haven't gotten to tail and the hair yet. its a rigify thing and It gets some weird controls I'm not sure if I like, but I usually only key it enough to not distract from the main action, then i follow through later.
#dev2days - I found more reference, changed stuff and I'm feeling much better about this jump. I think after some detail and secondary motion I can move on, but feedback is still welcome. I was hoping to sorta mirror it each jump so it should look a little more like jumping in stride. maybe.
#dev2days - another try at jump animation stuff, this time I looked at a few refs but there wasn't a lot, I still need more research because I think I'm lacking something.
#dev2days - I only had time enough to start reworking the jump animation. after trying a few things everything doesn't look right to me. I think I just need to find some good references and re-try.
#dev2days - I didn't have a lot of time so I just started a "falling" animation. I'm just trying out a new pose, we'll see how it goes.
#dev2days - I made some adjustments with some feedback and I like it a bit better now. I think I'll call this good enough to move on, but I'll still gladly take more feedback, thank you
#dev2days - I took a break from posting, but much less of a break on working, so I'm coming back somewhat. I got 2 animations I've been obsessing over and its time for feedback. A jog and a faster sprint that I tried to put a more flavor in because I might have got lost in making it look right idk.
Very true, I forgot. I think my plan is to do the hips in my next session then re-work the feet. But at least I'm re-familiarizing myself with graph editor.
#dev2days - I started re-figuring out walk/run motion. I had a little side track fixing weight paints that took longer than i wanted, so all I got Is fast feet atm.
#dev2days - I figured out my issue with animations. I had set up the nla track for exports and I forgot. I expected it to sorta solo the current action but no, so I deleted nla stuff, I can set it back up later. BUT at least I'm back to square one and can animate next time!
#dev2days - I started to set up to re-do a run animation, but I spent an hour trying to figure out why Ii can't reset it. No matter what i do, there remains this little wiggle when there is only one frame in the animation action and no interpolation. I tried everything I can think of for tonight.
#dev2days - I decided to return to blender, more adjustments on this climbing animation, slowly getting better.
#dev2days - colored the little table scene from before. Coloring is slower now because some of my previous features don't work with this setup, but I can manage.
#dev2days - I wanted to start a new thing with a new program to try out mobile alternatives to CSP subscription. Wacom canvas app just got unusable on update, lost my work, Ibis blocked a PENCIL behind a pay wall so I gave up and just added a bit to the table and set myself up for next time.
#dev2days - Another prop. I wanted to give myself somethin easy today, so I picked the table.
