Another book update (think I’ve skipped 1 or 2). Currently reading Strongmen: Mussolini to Present by Ruth Ben-Ghiat, Neuroqueer Heresies by Nick Walker, and Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown. Last 2 borrowed on Libby. Eclectic? Definitely but that’s my typical reading style.

It does seem too harsh. They seem to be painting a picture that she was at his rally, but that occurred later and at a different location. It also seems she wasn’t planning to speak and he goaded her into that.
The context is she’s the Governor of Michigan and appeared at the base as the leader of Michigan. The OPs post is misleading (at best).
I’m sorry but this is a misrepresentation of Gov. Whitmer’s appearance at the National Guard center. She was very careful not to thank Tr*mp, actually. Even in this clip from Fox News you can see that.
As an education researcher and higher ed faculty for special education, this just adds to how badly things are going.

Done! Called @slotkin.senate.gov and Senator Peters. It’s not promising given their betrayal votes this year but I won’t stop calling. Senator Slotkin has the nerve to tell us not to get discouraged and then votes against her constituents ever. single. time.
Also, can you find some time to actually respond to your constituents?? I have never seen us all being so active in expressing how we want you to respond to get…. Nothing. No answered calls. No answered emails. Wow. It seems built to actively discourage us from participating.
Michigan Senators @slotkin.senate.gov and Senator Peters - are you seriously on the fence? Your constituents want you to vote NO. Please do the right thing by getting off the fence and defend the Constitution and the US government. Voting yes will destroy whatever is left to salvage.
