This would make a brilliant new headshot.
Okay, but this is actually hysterical XD
A blonde girl in knit earmuffs, a green and white oversized sweater, red skirt, and white scrunchy socks stands in front of Otsuka Station, holding a clear umbrella and a white board with the number 1 written on it.
A blonde girl in knit earmuffs, a green and white oversized sweater, and a red and white striped scarf holds up a peace sign and a white board with the number 12 written on it in front of Tokyo Station.

A blonde girl in knit earmuffs, a green and white oversized sweater, and a red and white striped scarf holds up a peace sign and a white board with the number 29 written on it in front of Ikebukuro Station. It is dark out, and she punches a triumphant fist in the air.
I did this on a rainy November day many years ago! Such a truly fabulous way to see Tokyo!
Congrats, Effie!! Wow!!
Welcome, new agent sis!
I lived my whole adult life alone prior to meeting my partner, and....wow, yeah. I love him and the wee one dearly, but I missed this.
I may need to print this out, laminate it, and staple it to telephone poles all up and down Silicon Valley.
Although it's not yet decorated, my study is finally functional, and....wow. If you have the privilege, never underestimate the power of a space that is completely your own.
Especially if your spouse is much messier than you.
Double-especially if you have a kid.
Sending love to your pupper! <33
I definitely had a rabbit who always waited to go into stasis (a care-needed-now rabbit emergency) until about midnight. Let me tell you just how many 24-hour vets that claim they see rabbits only see rabbits on specific days, never at night: almost all of them. (Because rabbits are "exotics.")
My white dog with black spots looking almost like she is going to smooch this kissy faced white koi that also has black spots. The koi is coming to the surface and Penny is pulling g at the leash leaning over this shallow concrete rim to a koi pond at the Biltmore estate.
Spots recognize spots.
If I were in charge of the world, the first thing I'd do would be release the entirety of Wishbone on BluRay/DVD.
People have asked about non-Amazon places to preorder THE BONE BRIDES w/UK shipping---and I have an answer! You'll be able to preorder from Waterstones or Blackwell's! Those links, however, won't go live until closer to pub (3 months out at the earliest). I'll try to keep an eye out to let you know!
Ever since having a baby, I no longer get songs stuck in my head. Instead I get rhyming picture books stuck in my head.
A stack of books whose titles read, WHAT IF IT'S US RISING, FALLING, HOVERING MEANDER, SPIRAL, EXPLODE HERE WE ARE WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE BURY OUR BONES IN THE MIDNIGHT SOIL ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL
A stack of books whose titles read, SPEAK A SONG OF FLIGHT ECHO AFTER ECHO WORDS OF RADIANCE WAKE THE WILD CREATURES
For National Poetry Month, SO and I thought we'd have some fun with book spine poetry! Which do you prefer? (I'm not telling you whose is whose!)
I adore Kepler's! And there you are, front and center!!
If you have the time/energy to make a call by Friday, this is one the best bets for new research funding for #LongCovid.
Led by hill wiz @meighanstone.bsky.social — asking your Senators to sign on to this "Dear Colleague" letter is one of most important ways to ask for new funding for FY27.

A friend rarely reads in hardcopy bc her library's options are sparse. Describing her most recent hc read:
"Yeah, it wasn't good, but it DID give me the ability to go to bars without anyone talking to me. I can't wait until your book comes out, so I can go to bars again."
T'is a pleasure to serve.
Oh, and a zipline. I'd also want a zipline so that I could fly through the redwoods like a bird.
Built-in bookshelves. Every single wall. Every single ceiling. Every single door. It would all be bookshelves---ones with little bars so that the books don't fall out and kill me in the event of an earthquake.
And then, to fill them, I'd buying every single book that so much as caught my eye.
I have always despised these voice command items precisely because I feared this.
And lots of pediatricians won't give the measles vaccine until a year. I just asked about it at our 9mo appointment and was told to wait.
Screaming it from the rooftops.
Goodness does Good Trailcams continue to be one of the very best follows I've made.
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!

Thing I actually just said to my baby after he had yet again pulled himself up to standing against the same trunk he had already repeatedly gotten stuck standing against:
"Okay, but what is it we're trying to do here? What is our objective for this scene?"
A "wartime" poster that says: "Using Generative AI? You're Prompting with Hitler! GenAI is a Fascist Project! Try using your brain instead! Don't surrender your creativity to the Tech Billionaires' control!"
I missed this from @phineas.bsky.social when it originally came out but it sure feels relevant at the moment.
