The lure of this book was Alessandro Cappuccio's beautifully violent art & impeccable #WinterSoldier / Wolverine mashup design. The narrative was paper thin to begin with & extending the run stretched the finale even thinner, but the art & vibe are worth the ride. 👍

Yeah, I understand the take that it is boring as these recovery episodes usually are, but the flashbacks spent with dead characters from the original series worked well and kept me engaged. As far as one of these type of episodes go I thought it was an improvement.

I see the old Netflix trope of following a big fight with a down flashback episode to lick one's wounds is back stronger than ever. It can get jumbled jumping between modern day, flashbacks & dream sequences, but is never boring unlike earlier attempts. 👍

This was an impulse buy from my love of the new costume. I hoped the featured symbiote would be a new take on #Toxin, who originally also fashioned his colours off #Spider-Man, but what we got was much more interesting. I'll definitely be there when this team gets a series. 👍

The finale to the cosmic 2099 trilogy following #Annihilation2099 & #Conquest2099. Unfortunately, it goes out in a messy rehash of #ContestOfChampions, with villains #Mephisto & #Knull lacking any cyberpunk twists. #Dracula 2099 as herald of #Galactus is cool as hell though.👎

This was an all-timer. Centring the episode on #Bullseye & building to the truly iconic #Kingpin boxing match was a powerful combo. Wilson Bethel is fully meeting the character's potential. All he needs is one of those end of season new costume reveals. 🤟

This is a much better showcase of the new build quality. Her thin arms work much better with the overbaked elbow joints. I love the hair blowing in the wind head option, removable glasses and backpack. She should have extra feet without claws though. 🤟

My old Wesley Snipes Blade is deteriorating, so I was ready for the upgrade. I was so excited by his appearance I didn't even notice that I hate his costume. The awkward elbow joints of the new build has me concerned. His likeness is spot on though. 😑

Yeah when I saw DC and indies lean heavily into blind bags I know it would eventually come for Marvel. All the gimmicks are in full effect now.

I'll always show up for Eternals, even if its just a one-shot. I enjoyed all the shorts, but #Ransak was the highlight. He is such an under utilized character. I am intrigued by the introduction of the lost eternal #Telegon & hope it leads to more. 👍

This book had everything going for it—crisp, clean art, great covers, a strong new direction & a fun cast of fan favourite characters. Unfortunately, with the rug pulled out it doesn't nearly reach its potential. Given time this could have grown into a healthy ongoing. 👍

Everything is coming together and paying off so well this season is starting to feel like a culmination of both series. The relationship between Karen and #Punisher, the #WhiteTiger plot, the kangaroo court. We even finally got some #Swordsman action! 🤟

Its scary how I'm rooting for #Bullseye the minute he's targeted at fascists. The suspense is palpable as he stalks his prey. Its crazy this was written two years ago. Dario Scardapane has his finger on the pulse or the world has become cartoonishly evil.👍

I love the quick turn around but this #Dr.Doom doesn't compete with previous releases. His eyes are without detail and are crudely sprayed green and he is missing the red tassel on his belt and gold highlights to his armour. This is just a cash grab for #Doomsday hype. 👎

MCU synergy rebranded #Thunderbolts into Avengers, but it is meaningless in the end. This roster should be fun, but they are too busy chasing the abysmal #Killuminati in circles to get any character development. Forget the movies, Thunderbolts needs to get back to basics 👎

I’ve been loving it. It doesn’t have as strong a hook as Immortal Hulk but I have a feeling it’ll all come together well in the end.

Ewing described it as the New Testament to Immortal Hulks Old Testament, so do with that as you will.

Daredevil goes full revolutionary right off the bat. The action somehow feels more brutal than ever. Him barking like Jon Bernthal's #Punisher helps. The suit has never looked better. They are doing everything right and it is hitting with perfect timing. 🤟

Looks great! I’m excited that it looks to be setting up Man-Spider from the 90s cartoon. That hit hard when I was a kid and Cronenberg’s The Fly is an all time favourite. Get your Amazing Spider-Man #100 before it’s too late!

Timeless (2021) 1, #Avengers (2023) 10-36

This is a solid Avengers run spinning out of the Timeless one-shot. I assume it was all planned around #Kang being the villain of the next #Avengers movie. The twist was incredibly predictable, but it was a fun ride that made great use of all the tie-ins. 👍

Damn. I still have hope they will come back in the future. It was an exiles type set up so even if the universe ends they could stick around.

Glad to see they might be surviving Ultimate End Game. They were criminally under utilized in Ultimates.

Yeah I was hoping he’d turn things around a bit when he took over but it feels like he has been pretty hands off.

Marvel really needs to replace CB Cebulski. He was a terrible choice as EIC. I don’t know why they would promote him after that embarrassing stunt where he pretended to be Japanese.

In a perfect world comics go to digital first to grow a following, then based on popularity would get printed and heavily monetized based on merit as art and not just shock value and forced first appearances.

I can only imagine how much this would benefit incubating stories to adapt to film also.

Yeah reminds me of all the ‘90s foil covers and overflow of X-Men books before Marvel went bankrupt.

Now all the foil variants and gimmicks are back and everyone only cares about Absolute Batman.

It’s all feeling very familiar.

At my local shop it seems all the Wednesday regulars don’t read anything and are just following YouTubers marching orders on what will be valuable.

Then on here I get the feeling most fans reading comics aren’t actually buying single issues.

So I guess comics are made for scalping not reading now

Jonathan Hickman gives the old heads exactly what they've been begging for and it is glorious. Its a mature, emotional slow burn where action takes a back seat to character development. Now that Peter and the fans have everything the stakes have never been higher. 🤟

I wasn't really familiar with her game, but between #MarvelRivals & this I am now a big Peach Momoko fan. The X-Men are reimagined as a dark fairytale set in Japan, rendered in ethereal watercolour. It has a dream like pacing but gets a little fast & loose by the end. 🤟

What a pleasant surprise. The inclusion of the #Kree & classic #CaptainMarvel added dimensionality. The WWII setting is uniquely compelling. There is something hilariously absurd about soldiers storming Normandy on D-Day only to be met with a #Xenomorph horde 👍
