I'm Polish-American but don't feel like I have any meaningful relationship with Poland. My daughter and I have talked about going there.

It looks like it could offer structural support to something π
Wooo, look what I found! I don't see Alesmith (San Diego) Speedway Stouts all that often here, at least not at the stores I usually go to. But this turned up at Marty's in Newton. It's 12%, yet it comes off as balanced at a booziness level I can definitely take! Even relish! #BeerSky #BskyBeer
I was seeing some good Earthshine on that this evening
That's crazy - what even *is* that?
Oh, poor you - gotta take one for the team π
Well, that's an enjoyable glass π
Bissell Brothers know what they're doing, so their specialty brews must be really great.
Hey hey, nice overtime win!
Wow, Polly's AND Azvex!
I've got a Salvator Double Bock from Paulaner MΓΌnchen (Germany). It's caramelly and a little viscous, but it needs more punch in some way to cut through what I see as a bit of pastiness. I wish it were hopped some more, and although it's 7.9%, I wish that were a little higher. #BskyBeer #BeerSky
Sheesh, Oilers have to wait until Monday for Game 1.
Yeah, that is *freakish*
I'd totally try one, though
OK, that is a cool idea for a beer!
Tonight I've got Niner Imperial IPA from Stoneface Brewing Co. (Newington NH). This is actually pretty good for a less-expensive beer. It's like a more-robust, unfiltered version of something like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The malt isn't lost, and the fruit-pine balance is nice. #BeerSky #BskyBeer
I have a Double Crushed Gems DDH Imperial IPA (8%) from Other Half Brewing (Brooklyn, NY). The fruit is juicy, on the orangey-lemony side, but there's an earthy-solventy bent to it that hangs around the roof of your mouth and bridge of your nose. Another winner from Other Half. #BeerSky #BskyBeer
wowzers, 15.5%
Sourdough IPA sounds interesting, I will say that.
I'm having chiles rellenos - mmm! And with that a beer from one of my favorite breweries, Spyglass (Nashua NH). It's Fuzzier Logic Triple Dry-Hopped Double IPA. A New Englander all the way with pleasant fruitiness but also a really prominent earthy-cardboardy undercurrent. #BeerSky #BskyBeer
Hop Butcher For The World is one of the few Midwestern breweries that can do justice to an NEIPA!
Late dinner for me, so I just made some scrambled eggs! Along with that, a Tripel Belgian-Style Ale from Allagash Brewing Co. (Portland, Maine). Typical Allagash in that it's not expensive but of very good quality. It's 9% ABV and delivers that banana-spice-honey vibe nicely. #BeerSky #BskyBeer
It's been a while - I need to get some of that!
I've got an Imperial Stout conditioned on coconut, cocoa nibs, and Tahitian vanilla beans from Aurora Brewing Co. (King Ferry, NY). Aurora makes terrific NEIPAs, but this stout balances roastiness, sweetness tinge, and those listed flavors quite nicely, checking in at 7.5% ABV. #BeerSky #BskyBeer
National championship hockey game, Wisconsin vs. Denver, with a Volksgarten Vienna Lager from Schilling Beer Co. in Littleton, NH. It's a good German-tasting lager but with a twinge of sweetness. Fitting for a Wisconsin game! If I were there I'd have something like this on tap. #BeerSky #BskyBeer
Love that Dragon's Milk series!
Here's Finest Kind IPA from Smuttynose Brewing Co. (Hampton NH). You may have noticed I've been trying for a while to find some good West-Coast-like IPAs made in the East. This one fits the genre at 75 IBU and 6.9% ABV. It's got good bitterness, but it's balanced. Not bad! #BeerSky #BskyBeer
Wisconsin vs. Denver in the final! Wouldn't it be great if Wisconsin's men and women both won hockey championships in the same season? π¦‘π§
Penguins have beaten the Devils and are IN! π§π

Both the Oilers AND Penguins have an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot this evening!
Ooo, but they're up 3-1 right now
