The Lower Fox Creek School near Strong, Kansas,completed in 1882. A sign of a changing American West, one-room schoolhouses spread as settlers established themselves. Operational from 1882 to 1930 and attended by nearby children. School attendance ranged from 3 to 19 students with all eight grades.
