Very serious question, have you decided for yourself what scale the characters are on? Like are they human sized or real life animal sized or something else? I heard this discussed recently and I can’t stop thinking about it

I had to look up what this was but it sounds very appealing!

I’m fascinated by the idea that pratchett wrote an austen parody as a teen. I understand that it probably wasn’t very good because he was a teenager and everything, but I love that it existed.

I’m just a nerd who’s been trying to figure out how to make this app good for ages but your latest TikTok about oligarchy and social media destroyed me emotionally so here I am! I mean I would have followed regardless. There’s no ethical consumerism but maybe slightly less bootlicky?

Okay #pratchat83 what is happening at the very, very end of Unseen Academicals? This is based on a possibly False memory of the audiobook and I don’t have my own copy but I think the last line of the book is spoken by an unfamiliar voice saying something like “now it is”. #pterry

I love this and I’m sending it to one of the teachers I work with!

Episode five is really exceptional, and as someone who works with middle school kids, I absolutely see my students in them. Perfectly cast, beautifully edited.

I couldn’t possibly improve on this.

Also how on earth is it that Insurance pays for this. All other ethical questions aside, what kind of marketing witchcraft was this?

I loved it—sure, there’s no SLP character, but a lot of kids who’ve been failed in that respect; especially 25 years ago. I suspect the author’s daughter was as well.

Yes can we please talk about it in detail?

Many autistic people have intellectual disability. It's important to remember that, for them, "Support is not about deciding things for someone; it’s about empowering them to do what they want to do. It’s giving them the tools to build their own best life." From John Marble et al:

So for #slpeeps and #disability and #AAC specialists, are we talking about the Disney movie Out of My Mind based on the books by Sharon K Draper? Because I just finished the book series and I've never read about #assistivetech in such loving detail before in fiction before.

Same, he's the contestant whose work I knew the best of anyone's, and I was so excited! He sounded so sheepish whenever it came up that I was kind of expecting a Nish-style performance, especially given Greg's documented distaste for puns. Of course, he was just sheepish about doing well.

I laughed about as hard as I ever have in my life when reading the Tesla owner's manual (because reasons) and seeing that it wasn't recommended that you wash it in the sunshine.

@keighta.bsky.social Hi, you're here! I'm glad you're here.

I think about that a lot still as well; I've been using the term "formal observation" to describe what I do with my emerging communicators.

I got to see a teenager say his first word, totally unprompted. (it was "Hi" used functionally, and if you know early language, you know that's an extra-big deal). It was four days ago and I'm still buzzing from the excitement! #aac #slpeeps

If she’s the right therapist she’ll be awesome about it

Hmm. Well, that’s clearly what they decided and I don’t think it’s wrong, I just wanted it discussed briefly. Not that I think the wrong person won.

I really liked his film and the score was a little low. Although I do think what Rosie did was very special!

Season two is just incredible! I’m almost done with it. I think Jeremy’s scoring may forever feel arbitrary to me though.

Because historically society is the barrier, or even a villain, instead of just two people being kind of ridiculous (at least in the fluffier, low trigger ones I prefer)

I haven’t tried the ones in other languages yet, but it sounds like they’re great?
