Adorable and magical!

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Aha, so they are attracted to red blooms!
Is your valerian the red variety? I've never seen a hawk moth on my white valerian, but several times I've spotted one visiting my red bee balm.

Good luck! 🤞
I might try tinfoil sheets or strips. Cats hate tinfoil. A strong scent might keep them away too--maybe hang a damp cloth scented with eucalyptus, vinegar, peppermint, or citrus.
A very moving and persuasive essay and I'm really looking forward to reading your book. I feel very drawn to this growing movement.

Daffodil blooming at last!
A very cute duet with Willie!
How very clever of them! Makes me want to engineer better wren habitat where I live.
Wow! Beautiful footage you've captured. I had no idea wrens were such effective little hunters. I'm eagerly keeping a lookout for the return of the wrens here!
Lovely! Happy Birthday!
Happy Solstice to you and thank you for your uplifting and beautiful posts!
I enjoyed reading this so much, learning a little about your Highland solstice and listening in on a conversation with a friend. I live in Northern Vermont, a few miles from Canada and I'll be celebrating Solstice in my own way today as well. Perhaps I'll write my own letter to a friend!
Beautiful drawing. Looks like a delicate creature to travel so far!
My goodness, that's adorable!
As in human societies, the transmission of knowledge is vital to animal cultures. The endangered Egyptian vulture depends on pre-migratory gatherings to share safe routes. With so few elders in the Balkans, juveniles often fly straight over the sea & perish there.

So beautiful! I love to find spider webs in the garden, especially when the dew makes it briefly visible. 🕸🌄
Beautiful community project! A 500-year-old fallen oak is being crafted into a table in the forest that can seat 60. Sounds quite magical, elfin throne and all!
Picture of the sky showing bare branches of the treetops and a crow silhouetted against heavy cloud cover.
Typical December sky in Northern New England. Crow flyby at 3:43 pm as dusk approaches, giving a bit of gray marbling to the cloud cover that just seems blank all day. 2023

Sumac trees with red seed cones still in tact.
Oh, that's beautiful. I love all the color tones and textures. The kind of thing I really want to gaze on for a while and return to.
