god i should really just do one of those media thread things. but I finished Makeine, and the anime bullshit only very rarely showed up and was always the worst part of each episode it was in. The rest of the show is actually full of genuinely fun comedy and multifaceted character writing! Good time

i honestly went into this with trepidation despite hearing good things and i'm glad that despite moments of Anime Bullshit (the stuff with Nukumizu and Lemon in the sports shed in episode 2 especially) it's mostly been Actual Comedy and Actual Genuine Character Interaction
Makeine is not a show I thought I would like and some aspects of the show are a real test of my patience for straight anime bullshit, but the cast here is really fucking strong and there's comedy that works for me six episodes in. also it has a ska opening www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuRN...
