HAPPY WEEKEND here's a quick one!

On why climate deniers flat-out lied about a final report into Spain's blackout, pretending it was released 5 days before actual release + why that's reflective of desperation in an ACTUAL global fossil fuel crisis

The Liberals are at it again, preferencing One Nation Lhe Liberals’ decision to preference One Nation in SA is taking it further to the extremes when we need to bring our nation together.

Liberals deserve their impending obliteration. Labor doesn't deserve the thumping win it will gain by taking over the ground formerly occupied by mainstream right. Greens need to break with Labor.

The Adelaide Writers Festival now wrecked by the Adelaide Festival Board, half of which was appointed late last year: a marketing executive; a former politician; a local councillor/real estate agent; an airport manager; a lawyer; a media consultant; and a banker. Another public arts takeover fiasco.

Whitlam Dismissal take

The greatest achievement of the Dismissal has been the crushing of the ALP’s ambition to actually bring a better world into being.

Hawke sealed the deal by making the mark of success decent management of a capitalist economy.

Now it’s just ambition to be in government.

Australia’s biggest gas project greenlit to 2070 with ‘partial’ protection for Indigenous rock art Approval met with fury from conservation groups and the Greens, who called it a ‘betrayal’ of Australians who want climate action

There’s so much evil in the world right now. So much in your face obvious evil that this unforgivable omnicidal act by Murray Watt and the ALP probably slides below the surface. But the impact of this on countless people and species, and First Nations culture, outweighs much of the rest. Despicable.

I've called the Kiama by-election for Labor. They haven't picked up a primary vote swing but a more fragmented opposition and a very high rate of exhaustion means they will comfortably win the 2PP count. #nswpol

Israel hasn't stopped gunning down the Palestinians they're starving, as those Palestinians try to feed themselves

There is nothing wrong with continuing to say it: these are war crimes, this is genocide, this is murder. It must be stopped, and those perpetrating the crimes must be held accountable

Dozens of big industries want to plug in to Australia’s first 100 pct net renewable (wind and solar) grid The death of manufacturing? It’s a constant refrain among the conservative nut jobs on Murdoch’s Sky After Dark and within the far right elements of the federal Coalition, who insist that more wind and solar will be the death of industry in Australia.

ElectraNet says South Australia has one of the most advanced electricity networks in the world, regularly achieving 100% instantaneous variable renewable energy. 50% rooftop solar is world leading and green fuels are attracting business. #auspol #greenenergy

Revealed: Saudi Arabia’s secretive rehabilitation ‘prisons’ for disobedient women Girls and young women describe facing flogging and abuse in so-called ‘care homes’ after arguing with their fathers or husbands

As Saudi Arabia celebrates being awarded the FIFA men’s World Cup and promotes itself on the world stage, women who have dared to publicly call for more rights and freedoms are imprisoned. This is not a ‘cultural difference’, it is human rights abuse.
