If the world, and particularly USA, lived truly by the 10 Commandments it would be a far better place for all
sorry but this looks delightful
Terrible headlights, I’ll always remember my nervousness as my daughter drove us along a dark rural road, and it had nothing to do with her able driving skills
That’s the sanest piece I’ve read on the conflict, or war, whatever your choice. Some of us have been around long enough to recall the post WW2 situation of European Jews and the hope for a decent state of Israel. A possibility betrayed of course
I’ve had two PO Box addresses in succession as I moved house and never missed mail. The last courier I was forced to use via a merchant ignored that I was at home, created a mythical ‘dog’ (Never had one in my life) took a photograph of my closed front gate to prove the imaginary ‘dog’ and took off
This is an excellent over view of the dangerous warming period we’ll likely be entering in the next 12 months.
Share it widely.
Corp news will not acknowledge this increased danger until it’s too late in order to keep markets stable. That is their sole job.

I always recommend the old fashioned PO Box, direct for the delivery person, secure, mail and parcels held (for extended periods if you’re travelling etc)
Negatives: you need to get there in business hours and some bloody merchants won’t deliver to a PO Box number (courier ‘competition’)
A photo of a green car-based pickup (2003 Holden Commodore Ute) parked on a British street
Saw an absolute stunner on the streets of Hull yesterday, imported all the way from Australia, a 2003 Holden Commodore Ute ✨ #LyndensCarspotting
‘That’s not a ute, THIS is a ute’
Bonus below the pic is the story of the ute’s invention

I’ll banish that sight from my memory, reminds me too much of the food desert of 1950 Australasia
Sorting out my book mess and I note that China is printing and binding art books extremely well these days, and probably giving the traditional European art book makers a run for their money
Garbage (I live in that country, ‘smart’ enough to immediately spot nonsense like your attempt to gain attention)
Common Tailorbird (Orthotomus sutorius)…avian architects … they use their beaks to sew plant leafs together with plant fibers, spider silk, or insect cocoons…tropical Asia. #birds #nature #wildlife #photo #ecology
Unrelated, but have you noticed that Blue Sky auto-corrects ‘Aotearoa’? Progress is being made!
Fruit cart scene in AN ADVENTUROUS AUTOMOBILE TRIP (1905) directed by Georges Méliès. This is the earliest version of the chase movie staple that I have seen and it is enhanced by hand-colored oranges, courtesy of legendary film colorist Madame Thuillier's team.
A sense of humour with a tinge of stoicism helps when you live in Aotearoa’s capital city, Wellington

Which ‘old people’ would that be? The road to Hell is paved with generalisations
We all have our trigger points, after x number of ageist related posts here mine is sometimes activated. Anyway the music might be the point?
You could luck in to a performance like this at a free or cheap seats concert at the Sydney Con when the American Dean was running it. Sadly, after she was hounded out they returned to student performances only, as far as I know
There are ‘less’ and ‘less’ of them every day at what should be THE authoritative source of Australian spoken English. They, with help, killed ‘begging the question’ too
Great to see them putting women right at the front of sport …
As I glance at ‘Un Chien Andalou’, ‘L’age d’or’, and a favourite for me: ‘Entr’acte’ Sometimes I wonder if they weren’t just having fun with each other
Did you really have to say that? Now that vision will haunt me all day!
😳
Some ‘old white people’ have Cecil Taylor, Marilyn Crispell, and John Cage on their CD shelves, do you? Why be a spoiler with snarks? Signed: ‘old white person’ very impressed by this unnamed performer’
DAMN, SON!
Reinventing how a thousand year old instrument is played!
Brought Cecil Taylor to my mind, but his melodies are harder to perceive. This guy is good!

The reason that there are rules is manifest: get an exclusive: hurt the victim all over again
