They were getting slammed so hard, it took me 30 minutes to flag down the manager for help. 😓 (she was in such a rush, I didn't get the sticker sheet...) The Jollibee in Anaheim has SUCH a storm headed their way this weekend, god I hope they know what they're in for.

Chicken was good, but the experience was SO scuffed lol. Staff was totally overwhelmed by the turnout (prob not their fault, I bet they weren't adequately warned), and in the chaos, my mobile order ticket got thrown away AFTER I got a text saying my order was ready, but BEFORE the meal came out. 🙃

Looking at the other finalists, I really shoulda just followed my heart! Next time. 😔

Real bummer that I just did not have the fuel to finish my Fanfest art in time for the contest deadline, but both my altered and unaltered screenshots made the finals, so that's not a bad consolation!

The green soldier bugs will demolish the tomatoes before they have a chance to mature, but so long as they don't kill the plant itself, I'm cool with that. The purpose of the garden is to share it with the local wildlife anyway, so this is just the plan progressing as intended. :)

I've been putting off working on my garden, so the yard's terribly overgrown, but despite not planting anything myself, some surprise tomato plants have taken root! They've even sprouted fruit and these adorable lil green guys are havin a munch!

The bat is 100% necessary. It was frustrating to see that after Fanime announced they would have a doujin market this year, a couple artists on a discord I'm in were entertaining the idea of whipping up a quick comic, then selling their usual AA stuff alongside it. Our con culture is so gorked. 🫩

I miss when Warhammer 40k's 'Everyone forgot how computers work and now just pray to the machine-spirit to not fuck things up' was fanciful satire.
