Wapiti bull and harem in Buchanan County, Virginia USA
This bull was patrolling a large harem of cows and calves last year near Vansant, Virginia. They are, for the most part, descendants of elk released between 2012 and 2014. A few of the released elk remain in the herd, but they are getting old.
