So you’re telling me the Wizard of Oz presented itself as a towering force of overwhelming technology, only to be unmasked as just some guy, off-screen?

[quoting a tweet by fractalcounty that reads, “today I learned that there are actual people irl who get genuinely upset if they catch you using chatgpt. like they view it as a serious moral failing in certain circles”]
If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

Freedom, served chilled • Gideon Haigh
A high-profile lawyer defends employees’ rights to free speech, regardless of their politics

This is appallingly racist and distressing to K.A. Ren Wyld (who you also misgender). Noone actually said "string her up" other than the writer of this trash.

"We really are just lost for words at this point. The suffering is intolerable." UNRWA Louise Wateridge tells @cnn.com.
After months of war and siege, #Gaza humanitarian crisis is overwhelming. People are starving, deeply traumatized, and have nowhere safe to go. The siege must be lifted.

Anne Ruston is aware that AI isn’t an oracle - it’s just software that steals content and averages it out?

Labor quite clearly Bradburyed the last election and the task is there are now no excuses for avoiding addressing some massive festering issues or hopefully the electorate will notice and bring out the baseball bats. Very small chance I’ll be around for the next election but best of luck with it.

REVIEW: The Black Woman of Gippsland by Andrea James – Melbourne Theatre Company
The story of the “white woman of Gippsland” is an important one for the Gunaikurnai mob, whose land stretches from what the colonisers call ...
Jacinta is an Indigenous Thinker - a blakademic - who is sorting out the truth of family history, oral tradition and the academic structures that keep First Nations' stories oppressed. The Black Woman of Gippsland is fascinating and compelling.
