Just for fun! But the more generic "post for every liked package" instead of just Vite sounds like a more interesting feed to tap into
A photo of a building stoop with brown-gray steps, with the following text written on the steps in white chalk: "FREE FLOWERS Show someone you love them, Free! Help yourself"
Free flowers for the neighborhood? Why not!
Very grateful to live in a place where I can run into acts of community like this
Oh nice save. Adjacent to "I'm displaying a photo frame with the stock image still in it" but way more interesting π
Cool!! How'd you make the mini painting?
Yeah good call, this is more or less where we ended up. I'm installing a few options ahead of time so the repo is flexible, but giving a clear "use what you know!" message regardless. Thank you!
I'm designing an interview experience for an experienced frontend engineer (staff-level) where they'll build a UI on a live call. There's a mock API and basic Vite / React setup
What kind of component scaffolding should we include? Library (shadcn)? In-house custom? Have them build from scratch?
yes! are you going / did you go to their current tour?
seating options in fancy restaurant reservation systems are wild. Would you like to dine in the mushroom factory or the green parlor? oh, the communal trough? so sorry, we have a private event that night
Hiring for a staff-level frontend engineer!
We're building digital experiences for pediatric healthcare, have high ownership on a small team, and our work directly helps kids stay healthy

unfortunately I love it
Small typo in your link, great resource though! Bringing this into my axios --> fetch migration convo next week
Awesome! You mean getting the project creators to make updates on their side? Have you found an effective way to push that conversation?
Nice, yeah I'm trying to switch us over to pnpm, and I'm planning to set up a delay in the config there. typically I'm slow to look into all the config options for my tooling stack, but this one feels more pressing
using the axios supply chain attack as an excuse to (1) get my team to use fetch instead, which feels obvious, and (2) show off @npmx.dev and @e18e.dev and their linting / vs code tooling. they make modernizing dependencies and security practices around them so much easier!
A screenshot of a digital drawing of a yellow flower and some grass. There's a visible pixel grid overlay over the drawing
making a simple digital illustration for the first time, and it's terrible, and I'm having fun, and wow digital artists are so impressive!
At NYC School of Data for the day, watching the #atmosphereconf excitement all weekend (with great FOMO), hosting a side project meetup tomorrow, so much happening!!!!!
Such a fun thread
Oh man Eric *Carle, my bad
Eric Carleton-adjacent vibes, in a very good way
Thank you! Very excited to play
A mobile screenshot of a text chat open with a Bluesky account that runs a Lord of the Rings-themed text adventure. The texts show the account seeming to send duplicate messages for finding new items.
Hey @middleearth.quest , something tells me opening my first item wasn't supposed to lead to a flood of other items, all of which remain unopened?
Looks gooood. any tips or recipes?
feeling absolutely manic (good) after finally deploying a large refactoring project that took a few weeks
the obvious usability improvements plus genuine appreciation from the team make it super worth it, but I would like to never see this code again
βI wanna see Black people happy when I open my phoneβ
Definitely a good way. It feels like the right level of magic - I write straightforward HTML/CSS/JS, Svelte/kit gives me a few features to plug into to make things more powerful
Very refreshing compared to React. I'm just working on a content site though so I've barely scratched the surface
oh man @svelte.dev's got me feeling it now Mr. Krabs
Copilot feels like the AI version of that person who always needs to add something to the conversation. Even when there's nothing meaningful to add.
Me:
*opens 3-line CSS PR*
Copilot:
"Code looks good, but there's a typo in the comment."
"Also, it might read better if you wrote it this other way."
Nearly certain my next project will be a personal website rebuild in @svelte.dev , with as much vanilla HTML and CSS as possible to see how far I can stretch their modern features without leaning on JS / third party libraries
Very, very excited
