We won’t be able to make the Blue Hill Avenue meeting tonight as we can’t make most public meetings (like most working parents can’t). We cross and use the Columbus Ave bus lanes daily in Egleston Square and are so grateful for the safety upgrade they have been.
Recent brake-pumping, gridlock, and intentional bottlenecks at city hall cause us great concern about the commitment to build safer streets across the city, including where we live in Egleston Square and where our kids bike to school in Roxbury.
Streets that serve all users includes kids! Our kids have a sense of pride and collective ownership in their community because of the autonomy and participation they get to exercise in their daily travels around the city. Biking, walking, taking the train, taking the bus.
The video highlights some of the better bike infrastructure in the city of Boston that makes this trip possible. He had a huge smile the whole ride and put a smile on nearly every face we passed.
My 6 year-old loves riding their bike to school in Roxbury (a neighborhood that has not seen the safe infrastructure improvements that others have). This is a video of their ride from JP to downtown on February 28th, following a month of snow storms. (thoughts continue in thread)
Hey Somerville! You can now rent an CargoB right on the Somerville Community Path. Located under the Lowell St overpass & the Magoun Square MBTA station, we’re making it easier to take your kids downtown, your dog to the park, or your groceries home all on two wheels in the fresh air.

⚠️We’re temporarily suspending service to ensure quality winter operations, retuning by the end of February⚠️
Here’s your annual reminder that my DMs are always open on this subject, because I believe “that no addict seeking recovery need ever die…” as it will say on a 17 year medallion that I’ll receive at a meeting tonight.
Today marks 17 years clean from drugs. Fun fact, that means I’ve now been in recovery for exactly half of my life. A life that nearly got cut very short as it has for many others. My community continues to lift me up when life is challenging and grounds me in gratitude which is where I like to be.
As we transition beyond our scrappy little team to further implement our expansion with the T and other major partners, these end-of-year fundraisers help us bridge the gap and keep CargoB running through the winter while we work to secure our first seed funds. We'd be nowhere without our community!
CargoB parked at the corner of Cowperthwaite and DeWolfe St.
And the new locations keep rolling! You can now rent a CargoB at the corner of Cowperthwaite and DeWolfe Streets, right by Harvard Square and the Weeks Footbridge!

BRB, gonna tell my wife we need to get divorced just so we can marry again and do the vehicle thing right.
8 days post surgery. Hanging back with the cats more than I’d like. No offense cats!
ANOTHER new spot where you can rent a CargoB at the T! Stony Brook Station, continently located along the Southwest Corridor.

The one who sees all things? I assumed you knew I knew you knew….
Great chatting 🙂. As I mentioned at DTX, CargoB has been propelled in large part by the enthusiasm of our earliest riders and supporters!
Everyone is sending this to me, lol. We know Lelac.
You can now rent a CargoB at the T! Porter & Lechmere kicking us off and are now live! 🚲🚲🚲

Ugh, wish we had rank choice in Boston.

It’s his favorite way to get around, and he’s capable of doing it much younger than I thought either kid would be.
Maddie (his mom) and I are very seasoned as pedestrians and cyclists in a city known for its aggressive drivers. But it shouldn’t have to take that.
Happy World Car Free Day! My six-year-old clocked many miles on his own bike this week!
Everyone deserves to have the freedom of movement.
It’s one of the reasons why Dot and I started @ridecargob.bsky.social , but there are so many ways to make a difference!

3 days left to complete CargoB's survey in exchange for a $10 ride credit. We want to hear from you! While a few questions are specific to Boston, we welcome responses from anywhere.
But other parts of the city might prove to be better on the council front.
Unfortunately the early results, at least from the precincts @dotnews.bsky.social has put out, seem to show some neighborhoods voting both overwhelmingly for Wu but still backing conservative at-large candidates (like Frank Baker, who is also just obnoxious politics aside).
