I thought I didn't like rhododendrons until I inherited this one. It is just beautiful. I think it might be 'Maharani'. #Gardenshour #Mygarden #Gardening

Scarce Prominent - a new for my garden. Likes mature birches, which we have. Striking appearance. #Teammoth #Mygarden
Trying these for the first time. The colour mixes well with others.
Fringed tulips - Louvre on the left and Gorilla on the right. #Mygarden #Tulips #Gardening
5 days after my second shingles shot, I still have a sore arm with a hot reaction area around the jab site. Ow!
Up the woodland path. Excited to find that one of my many honesty plants is a white one. #SixonSaturday #Mygarden #Gardening
Not at RHS Wisley, but in my garden this afternoon. Quite pleased with these tubs. #Mygarden #Tulips #Gardening

Been to see the tulips at RHS Wisley today - so now overexcited and making lists for next year! Marvellous! #Gardening #Tulips
Damselfly nymphs from our rill which was created less than a year ago. Also saw, briefly, a female smooth newt! Happy dance! #Mygarden #insects #gardening

Spring! Leaves and blooms are burgeoning. And tulips, tulips, tulips! #Sixonsaturday #tulips #Mygarden #Gardening
Queen German wasp. Caught in the moth trap. This time of year wasps are the gardener's friend as they feed on aphids etc. #InsectThursday #Mygarden #Gardening
An image of vintage white and beige lace doilies on a black background. It is from an IG post, w the text about the insanity and destruction being wrought by our country on Persian culture (and so much else.) The clip is worth watching and listening to.
Both joyous and heartbreaking. Watch w sound on.

Collage of spring tree buds and blossom: fresh green leaves unfurling, clusters of white blossom, pink buds just opening, and tight buds swelling on branches, all set against soft green backgrounds, capturing the early stages of April growth and renewal.
โLo! in the middle of the wood,
The folded leaf is wooโd from out the budโ
The month of April is often said to derive from the Latin aperire, โto openโ. It is the budding month, when the buds of trees swell, and blossoms and vernal-green leaves burst forth from the winter bonds.
Well it would be a shame to waste such lovely weather!
Another tulip not as ordered. Still nice, but a bit annoying. But I guess it must be tricky if you drop a bulb when harvesting and packing tulips. #Tulips #Mygarden #gardening ๐ฑ
Lovely tulip, but I don't know what it is. Only one of them so probably an interloper amongst the ones I did order. Don't think it's tulip breaking virus. #Tulips #Mygarden #Gardening ๐ฑ
A very good tulip. I find they come up again with me.
