In #CourageOfLassie, the unrelated next film in the series, Pal plays Bill, a collie raised in the US by a different Liz Taylor. Bill becomes a war dog in that one, too, comes home with PTSD & kills sheep. Young Liz has to rehabilitate him.

I remember how annoyed a friend was by the inking on their pencils for an acclaimed 90s comic written by a former friend. I recall thinking how much better those pencils would’ve looked inked by my 70s faves Adkins or Giordano.

I’m fine with Ten Little Indians, as that distinguishes Christie’s uncompromisingly bleak novel from her play And Then There Were None, but I don’t want the 1939 Collins Crime Club title restored.

Me too, mostly, but it can go too far. I understand why my late sometimes-friend Karl Wagner restored an oblique reference to a statue’s huge genitals removed by de Camp, but “restoring” the Weird Tales typos to Hour of the Dragon was silly.

or controversial passages is older than many realize. De Camp altered REH passages in 1953. Laura Ingles Wilder’s “No people, only Indians” became “No settlers” in 1957.

That’s very Quatermass Experiment.

Despite sounding exactly like Christopher Lee, the Red Death is RSC & BBC actor John Westbrook, who later voiced Treebeard in Bakshi’s LOTR. Wonder if Roger told him to imitate Lee.

Just now, as the crew broke the record for furthest human journey from Earth, he asked for a lunar feature to be named after her. The crew gave him a zero-g group hug and honestly I’m getting a bit emotional here.
