That beautiful blue stripe with roses border fabric, was the main multicoloured print, that inspired all the other fabric choices.

I drew the diamond shapes on the back of the fabrics and stitched them together along the drawn lines.
I tucked a thin piece of cotton batting behind each diamond and then folded the outer parts of each diamond and basted in place.
Then did the embroidery.
Nothing backing. Will add to quilt as is.
