So many people thought Beeple was just a flash in the pan after that early NFT sale, but he’s proven to be a serious digital artist. His show at the LACMA Los Angeles County Museum of Art was genuinely fascinating. While I was there, I also stopped by to see this incredible Chris Burden sculpture.

Okay, who else has these accidental “butt photos”? You know… like a butt dial, but with your camera. 😂 Thinking we need to make this a contest. Who’s in?
Got this photo from my friend Eric Poulson. No idea who snapped it, or where exactly I was, but pretty sure that’s me in my old Mass Ave apartment, and Eric up above in his North Boston flat. Wild how moments like this resurface.
Thinking of my friend Julian Wasser, who had a great posthumous show with Craig Krull a few weeks ago. They found great new work! Thank you Marc Karzen for the wonderful shots.
Mr. Ilford wants to help with the year-end filing.
Gluten-Free Turkey Meatloaf night, loaded with mirepoix, glazed in Bachan’s Japanese BBQ Sauce, and finished with a touch of blue cheese. Comfort food with a twist.
As the East Coast and Midwest freeze, I am thinking about the summer of 24 in Glochster, at my favorite beach, Singing Beach! Elizabeth Waterman and I are horsing around with her film camera.
Nothing can go wrong here! 😂
Mr. Ilford said he would cover my Zoom meeting for me.
Sunday night Grammy Party on the beach in Santa Monica. It never gets old!

Throwback to post-Christmas with the kids — gifts everywhere, laughter all around. 🎁
All great things come to a close. My Days of Punk exhibition at the Huntsville Museum of Art has officially wrapped, but not without one final round of amazing press. Grateful for everyone who showed up, supported, and helped make this such a memorable stop.
Huge thanks to @SCNmag for the coverage.
As the East Coast and Midwest freeze over, I keep thinking back to the summer of ’24 on Great Diamond Island in Maine with dear friends. Dini Lamot, Eddy Puse, and Elizabeth Waterman — miss those sunny days.
Beyond the sound, the lifestyle, and the ethos of an international culture that wears the moniker Punk are the faces. The faces of Punk, unfiltered from the underground show attitude.

A still photograph freezes time, but through framing, light, and movement, I’ve always aimed to capture more than stillness.

As an aspiring or professional photographer, it is a challenge to photograph people who hate being photographed. Some people are self-conscious; some have trust issues, and others have an inbred aversion to the camera.

What makes a song “Punk”? Looking for clues by breaking down the core elements, there are three chords simplicity, snarling vocals, backed by driving repetitive beats.
