The metal cat is part of my efforts to keep the local felines away from my tiny nature reserve. Luckily the birds are clever enough to know it's not real.

A couple of days ago I rescued a double daffodil bud that had been broken off by strong winds in the garden. Wasn't sure if it had developed enough to open, but ...!

My garden is littered with twigs discarded from next-door's birch trees. Wood pigeons are the main culprits. They break off a twig, think about it, then toss it aside when they see what might be a better one 🙄

A traditional drystone wall made from irregularly shaped natural rocks in shades of grey fitted together to make a strong wall, and topped with narrow slabs of stone placed vertically and slightly slanted to the left. The wall is on a windswept hillside with grass on both sides and a few trees in the background.
There's an art to making a traditional drystone wall so here's my contribution to today's #BlueSkyArtShow on the theme of #stone.
