Did you know you can set up a scene and render it to a texture without any nodes in #Godot, by directly using the RenderingServer? We automatically generate billboard sprites for meshes this way.

There's not much info about the RenderingServer online, so I wrote about it:

Whether you plan to organize a panel or hold a presentation of your own, we are open to hear your ideas! You can choose between a Lightning (~10min), short (~25min) or a long (~50min) time slot, and we will automatically set aside some audience QA time if you need it.

Workshops
Depending on the amount of workshops and interest we will be hosting a workshop track. Help us showcase the Godot Engineโ€™s capabilities by teaching your fellow developers a new skill. The duration of a workshop can be from 1 to 2 hours.

Games/Projects
Parts of the venue will be dedicated to an exhibition of Godot games/projects and we would love to have you there. The layout is still in planning and details will depend on the amount of submissions we get.

Do I see it correctly that you are sort of creating game steps in your inspector of what to do/where to go and save that as a test case? Did you create that already in preproduction or later now in production?

Yeah I bet :) taking inspiration from Takeshiโ€˜s castle for a game was a great design decision. Also yeah everyone needed some light during the pandemic ๐Ÿ˜… no wonder all cozy games had a big impact then.
