Novel concept:
If you want the cost of gas to go down, you need to SUPPORT the creation of a proper local and national public transit grid. Busses, Light rail, high speed rail, etc... The more people you move using less gas, the lesser the demand, the lower the cost (in pure capitalistic theory).
