Yalumba 'THE SIGNATURE' #barossa #cabernet/ #shiraz 2023 an elegant bouquet with ripe cherries,subtle dried herbs, a hint of cassis & chocolate notes. Complex,ubber tasty palate with layers of blue berries,coffee, a splash of spice & long graceful tannins on the delightful,lingering finish. SUPERB

OMG what a great way to celebrate "International Tannat Day" with- the Pirramimma Winery 2010 #mclarenvale #tannat which was at its peak, silky smooth & rich + the utterly magnificent Chateau D'Aydie 1990 #madiran which was simply stunning, bursting with complex flavours at 36 yrs old. STUPENDOUS!!!
Tuesday is "International Tannat Day", it is a BIG gutsy red from the Madiran region of France-now being grown by 56 wineries in Australia. We will celebrate the day with a Pirramimma Winery (one of the very first producers here) 2010 & the classic Chateau D'Aydie 1990 from Madiran fully mature!
