Shout out to @miskatonicplayhouse.com, the showcase community written scenarios for Call of Cthulhu.
A plushie rat standing on a script for 'The Rats' by Agatha Christie. Beside them is a kindle showing a script of Lovecraft's 'The Rats in the Walls', adapted by SR Sellens.
First read-through of the double-bill I'll be directing in October, featuring all the rodents!
Fun fact: Agatha Christie and HP Lovecraft were born less than a month apart (Aug/Sept 1890).

I'm currently adapting a short story for the stage and actively look forward to when I can sit down and put words on paper. Why would I want a pattern generator to do it for me?
I do have a tip for aspiring writers: when naming the giant insect monsters in your setting, avoid naming them 'buggers' if you want Brits to be able to take it seriously.
I don't know what my husband's reading but he keeps saying things like 'the buggers were anything but inefficient,' and 😆
Definitely a book I want/need on my shelf.
Hope-filled post-apoc RPG you say? Don't mind if I do!
Got the chance to play this last year and it was a blast.

The Innsmouth Terror front cover. By John Hedge and friends. Tentacles float in the darkened sky above a boat and the Devil reef.
A few months ago, we at the @miskatonicplayhouse.com noticed that there just, weren’t any scenarios on the Miskatonic Repository about storied Innsmouth.
So we decided to do something about it.
The Innsmouth Terror front cover. It’s hard to make out anything in amongst the mist. There are mountains and water and tentacles in the sky.
@petedoom.bsky.social just sent me the latest draft for the front cover of my next publication on the Miskatonic Repository.
Damn. I’m excited
The Innsmouth Terror. Coming soon.

There are some podcasts whose introductions I skip. This is not one of them.

Hi #EarlyModern Bluesky - did you know that someone brilliant has built working printing presses using Lego and they are trying to get enough supporters so that Lego will release it as a kit?
They look so cool!

Britain. 1813. Across the island, the folk ballads of the common people are coming to life. The dead walk, dragons rise, lovers betray one another, authorities condemn innocents to die — whatever happens in the song happens in real life. My latest TTRPG is coming soon to Kickstarter! #ttrpg

We had great success with wild-flower seed bombs in our old house. Need to get some here.
I love how this reads as if Ralph Vaughan Williams’ was intent on reviving the dead villagers and creating an undead horde of zombie folk singers.

Museums do make for great stereoscopic photos
Well that was delightfully surreal!
In that case I'll put it on now.
A leather topped wooden desk with a very comfortable place at sitting on it.
Bought a new (old) desk to replace the broken thing I've been writing on for the past few years. Unfortunately it was quickly claimed by another family member.
Fantastic!
