I hear ya. They were letting me take a low dose of adderall for a little while but then I kept getting hypomanic episodes and now they won’t refill them. Sucks.
Very similar to me. I also have hypersomnia and the ADHD meds helped with that too but now I need to stop because of the BD
Been there 😂
When you come to Harrisburg Pa, you will be down the street from Yellow Bird Cafe. I highly recommend anything on their menu, but especially their breakfast sandwiches.
I had a similar therapy session a year ago. Led to many more wild sessions! 😆
… I might need to slow down on adding books to my currently reading list
Also also in the middle of the Stormlight Archive because I love Brandon Sanderson after only discovering his books almost a year ago
Also diving back into The Hollows universe with The Good the Bad and The Undead. I love that darn witch
As a type 2 myself my hypomania episodes tend to amplify if I’m close to someone who is manic. We definitely can’t be accountabilibuddies 😬
This probably explains why he was my favorite comic book villain growing up 😬
I don’t have any friends who are also bipolar but I can totally see this being a manic episode feeds another’s manic episode situation.
Just because I have more energy that day doesn’t mean I’m manic. That’s only one checkbox of several that are needed to be in an episode
The Way of Kings was amazing. I will now be comparing all other books to this masterpiece. #stormlight #cosmere
Love this!
Same! Been hypomanic for a bit before my vacation so my bipolar said “keep that foot on the gas pedal, buddy”
Yeah it is! They’re fun dogs. She’s my Velcro dog for sure!
Thanks! It’s on my GoodReads. Fable does a wrap up too and gives you a little write up about the genres you read. Looks like this
Not too bad this year!

Why did I not read Way of Kings earlier??? 80% through it and the spoilers are EVERYWHERE!!! It’s my own fault 🤦🏻♂️ #cosmere #stormlightarchive
Makes sense! My parents didn’t believe in ADHD or depression so it took me several misdiagnoses in my adult years before my current combo of ADHD and bipolar. (Fairly sure I could diagnose several of my family members with one or the other despite their disbelief in mental health 🤣)
Thanks for sharing! I hear so many of us say we weren’t diagnosed until 30s and 40s.
Good to know! I’m still trying to figure all this out. Only diagnosed a year ago in my 30s.
I envision that being my problem too 😬
I’ve had light therapy suggested to me before. How well has it worked in your experience?
