A couple of my daughter’s acrylic paintings from some years ago. On the left is a face with only some features shown in detail (an eye, the nose and lips); the rest of the canvas is swirls of colour – cobalt blue, red, black, grey and a yellow with grey edges. On the right is a greyscale, stylised portrait of Stephen Hawking, with geometric shapes in neon green and an infinity symbol. She also does digital graphics for her song tracks. She sings in a range of styles and collaborates with other musicians and music tech producers.
30 March is WORLD #Bipolar Day - the birthday of Vincent Van Gogh.
My gifted younger daughter is bipolar.
I never post about her, but after a long time, it seems that she may be turning a significant 'compound corner'.
Be hopeful. Dig deep. A story can be turned around.

Remembering what it was like to be manic is having the knowledge of how awesome everything feels in that altered state. When more stable, life can feel vanilla in comparison. Sanity comes at the cost of that feeling. It is the reason why some with #bipolar refuse meds. Oh mania is quite dangerous.
