The Document Collection - The Forever Pollution Project The Forever Lobbying Project gathered a total of 14,331 documents on PFAS constituting the world’s largest collection to date on “forever chemicals”

We also calculated the (enormous) costs of PFAS remediation, stress-tested the lobbying arguments used by the industry and collected around 14k documents on PFAS that are now public and can be used by other journalists, experts or public authorities

A ban would drastically reduce emissions in Europe, giving us at least a chance to remove them from the environment.

But, as the #ForeverLobbying Project uncovered, the European industry is spending millions in lobbying efforts to undermine the ban, instead of investing in alternatives to PFAS.

PFAS are a class of widely used chemicals (from non-stick pans to solar panels), but are linked to cancer, infertility and many other health issues. They're called "forever chemicals" because they're incredibly persistent, and now are contaminating water resources, soil, food, and our bodies.

The Forever Lobbying Project The Forever Lobbying Project exposes the real cost of PFAS pollution on the environment, science, and politics.

A huge lobbying campaign is spreading across Europe, trying to undermine a much-needed ban on PFAS in the EU.

We investigated this lobbying and disinfo campaign in the Forever Lobbying Project, in a group of 46 journalists across 16 countries + 18 experts. Out now: foreverpollution.eu/lobbying/
