I’ve never understood the complex political structure of high schools in American movies.
Then again, at my school we had a game where everyone tried to rugby tackle each other for an indeterminate time with no teams, points, or goal in mind, and that’s probably a tortured metaphor for politics.
I’ve fallen into the #lifetime movie snare trap, and I don’t wish to escape. Give me more movies about high school girls murdering each other over perceived slights, or mothers realising their child isn’t their child, but a murderous psychopath, each as inconsistently lit as the last.
While watching “The Mask of Zorro”, I realised that #Zorro and #Sharpe are both alive and at least sort-of active during the same time period, and I cannot think of a better “What If” crossover than those two.
Watching #BatmanVSuperman and #LineOfDuty in the same week is weird, because journalist Clark Kent heard about a branded man being murdered in prison and blamed a man in a bat costume, rather than the corruption that allowed a prisoner at increased risk of violence to be left exposed and vulnerable.
Got sent some storyboards that have been made of my short screenplay in preparation for filming, and I don’t want to say that it’s the coolest thing anyone’s ever given me, but it’s honestly somewhere in the top three.
