Hi there. If you email my office at ward3@hamilton.ca we can get you the specific study results from staff. In the meantime, here is the overarching framework: www.hamilton.ca/sites/defaul...

Thank you to all the kiddos and parents who spoke up, the 15 residents who submitted letters, pre-recorded videos, delegated in person to Public Works Cmtee. Big community win for new playground & shade structures at Memorial Elementary for everyone in the community to use! #OurWard3
Thank you to the neighbours who live off Wilson St who connect directly about the reconstruction. I’m really looking forward to the complete street being built into this existing neighbourhood: trees, plants, benches, cross walks! 2-way conversion + upgrades to water infrastructure = big win!
New analysis from @policyalternatives.ca shows that federal budget cuts will hollow out significant parts of Canada’s immigration system and offload costs to cities. By @davidmaccdn.bsky.social #cdnpoli www.policyalternatives.ca/news-researc...
Late last year, a white supremacist dating platform was hacked and its users leaked. One of those users is Royal Canadian Air Force Major Tristan Armstrong, who CAHN has linked to thousands of posts made on far-right forums between 2019 and 2024.

A #HamOnt police officer, back at work after he was investigated for sharing racist and extremist content online, is again displaying a sticker "associated with white nationalist extremism" on his vehicle, a community group says. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

On #IWD2026, we recognize women leaders on our Board and in #CDNMuni across the country. With safe, supportive conditions for women in all their diversity to participate in public life, communities gain stronger leadership, better decision making and a more resilient democracy.
Such a joy to see so many cyclists brave the cold for another Winter Bike Day! ❄️ We are already looking forward to Summer Bike Day coming your way when the warmer weather rolls in 🚲!

"A similar idea appears in an article published last month @policyalternatives.ca, which suggests a “Costco-plus-local” model could reduce grocery prices by 25 to 45 per cent, depending on where people live." www.policyalternatives.ca/news-researc... www.ctvnews.ca/vancouver/ar...
When cities are built with women in mind, they become more liveable for everyone.
A fairer planning approach that promotes a universal right to access the city, and considers every aspect of human life, from infancy to elderly; not just those in the so-called productive stage.

Note: the language of the final motion Clr Clark intends to bring to Budget Cmtee next week will matter and I look forward to reviewing a written form.
Clr Brad Clark has now announced (at GIC Budget) that he will be bringing a motion, seconded by Clr Rob Cooper, to offset the cost of Main St Project via funded allocated to the LRT. Claims the motion is not going to seek to pause the live-saving Main St road project.
Hi Jake, yes. One of my Council colleagues confirmed with me his intention to move an amending motion to remove the Main St project from funding this year. This would put a stop to any of the next round of permanent, life-saving, roadway safety & resurfacing work designed and planned for this year!
ATTN: Ward 3 & Main St neighbours. Councillors who live no where near you are trying to stop Main St safety & complete streets interventions this budget. I know families who lost loved one or experienced critical injuries and will continue to fight for you. Pls email ward3@hamilton.ca to connect.
Now we can confirm what we’ve always known: this is a separatist government.

An oft-repeated statistic says men apply for a job when they have 60% of the qualifications while women wait till they have 100%. Pretty sure that stat was debunked, but …
Several men seem to think that being Mayor is a suitable starter job for someone with no municipal experience. It’s not.
Hi Joey. As you are aware, I was present at Chair calling the meeting to order. Tech difficulties were experienced at City Hall. I was logged in on my end before 9:30am. I was informed I did not appear in the Webex stream in chambers until several reboots of systems occurred.
2026 City Budget details show that the anti-renovation bylaw is working - fewer tenants facing evictions and N13s resulting in less staffing required! #antirenoviction #tenantrights
In review of Hamilton 2026 City Budget, another provincial decision impact is the new private recycling program no longer providing service to small business & non-profit/social service organizations - increasing the cost of doing business and providing essential services in Ontario!! #ONPoli 🤦🏽♀️
Yes the data is key. I was speaking with several colleagues across Ontario who plan to do the same!

When it comes to the safety of children and other vulnerable road users, we need every measure we can implement. I remember those who have died on our roads. I think of the children critically injured. Evidence, facts and lived experience ought to guide policy decisions, not an angry mob!
If a pedestrian is hit by a driver going 30km/hr, they have a 90% chance of survival. Go to 50km/hr your chances plummet to 20%. 60 km/hr and you are down to zero! ASEs are proven to be effective in slowing drivers and getting compliance on speed limits.
While the Premier says “Ban”, the City of Hamilton says “Expand”! Today Public Works Cmtee supported my motion to report back on how to expand Automated Speed Enforcement in Hamilton. And if the Prov doesn’t want to work with cities, we’ll send the bill for reimbursement! #OnPoli #SaferStreets
