It's a co-op and they generally do a good job supporting local. They also sponsor an annual farm tour! I used to work for them and got to visit and interview a lot of the farmers and other producers.

I always like yellow ones too, but I never thought about why

I messaged the produce buyer and she says which farm they're from depends on the day. Yesterday was probably Red Hawk (a local farm—I've visited this one) but they also come from Greentown Farm and from Covilli Organics in Mexico.

I potted seedlings today, and something larger than a worm was moving around in my potting soil. It turned out to be my gray tree frog, who hangs out on my porch railing in the summer! I left them in a pile of potting soil and under sweet pea vines and a pot.
