So, only a few years ago too.

I was chatting to a work colleague today who is running their first marathon in London next Sunday. When asked if I'd ever run the London Marathon, I answered, "Yes, the last time was a few years ago." I then realised 2017 is actually 9 years ago. NINE Years! How has that happened?
A calm river Trent heading away into the distance with clear blue sky above and Trent Bridge spanning the river in the distance.
It's a beautiful day here in Nottingham.
Both are 240m on either side of a valley.

Great work this weekend by all those involved in the Brighton Marathon plog πππ»π. Leading by example.
Special shout out to Green Runner Darren Evans for his mission to help runners fix their shoes and speaking out about the importance of becoming a greener runner.

Meet Jess. π
Jess is one of our new members who joined at the Brighton Marathon weekend event.
The more of us there are, the louder our voice.
Being a Green Runner is about progress not perfection. We are here to support each other on our green journeys. Joining is simple, see link in thread,
I even stopped and chatted to a neighbour whilst out. π€£
This morning, the soap bar had reduced to a tiny slither, so I molded it onto a fresh bar whilst showering. Later, I walked to the shops. On returning home, I happened to rub the top of my bald head & discovered I'd been walking around the shops with a slither of soap stuck to my scalp.
I stumbled across an unworn pair of my favourite ever, but now discontinued trail shoes on Vinted. I imagine this is what finding buried treasure feels like.

You learn something new every day. I didn't know there was ever a buttons bar. Google tells me limited edition bars with buttons embedded into them have been produced in the past.
Controversially, we eliminated buttons as they aren't a bar.
The boy Bowen received a Kit Kat Chunky Easter egg. We both agree that the Kit Kat Chunky is the greatest chocolate bar ever produced.
Our top 5
1. Kit Kat Chunky
2. Green & Black's Milk
3. Twirl
4. Yorkie
5. Wispa
Blimey!
Rest up.
Save your wallet & the planet - the case for durable running shoes.
This article was born out of a question we asked here on BlueSky a few weeks ago.
Key takeaway - research before you buy. Make your next pair of shoes the ones that lasts the distance.

I could be embarrassingly wrong, but...
They now understand how to unblock a sewer, how the different drainage pipes connect, and how to clean gravel and separate it from sewage. The downside is we need a new colander for the kitchen.
2/2
Yesterday afternoon, I began some spring gardening but quickly discovered our sewer was blocked, and sewage was pooling on a gravelled area down the side of the house.
The clean-up was not a pleasant task, but it turned into an educational opportunity for the young adult Bowens.
