I finished this little reed basket today. It’s about 9”x6”x 5” to 7” deep. Perfect for storing mail or other odds and ends. This was my first original design, made it up as I worked it.

Tote basket I made with several sizes and styles of reed and really accented with an inkle band my mom wove used as a handle. Guess I’m learning how to weave inkle bands next 😊

Thank you! These photos are all the same basket, different views and the 4th was the lid in progress of being made. The type of basketry is called wicker and it is made with #6, #4 and #2 round reed.
Finished up this big wicker picnic basket. Mostly fun, at times very frustrating. Learned a ton making this one!
