Thank you

A great grey owl glides over long grass towards the camera. The bird is a large owl with a distinctive grey and white banded facial disc.
Trying to decide if I prefer the black and white or colour image. Any thoughts? #B&W πͺΆ
I seem to spend a lot of the winter months watching wildlife documentaries. I can't afford a safari but did head off to Yorkshire Wildlife Park the other day. π¦π―

Thank you Helen, hopefully we'll get some more calm sunny mornings and opportunities during the winterπ€
A male Bearded Reedling clings to the top of reed where it has been eating the seeds. They change from an insect diet to a seed diet during the winter months and can be seen feeding on the tops. They pulp the seeds in their stomach by also swallowing grit. The male is a small bird with a orangey brown body with black and white marks on the wings. It has a blue grey head and a distinctive black moustache. It has a yellow beak and a yellow eye and black pupil.
It's that time of year again, not Xmas, the other one. Beardie time π πͺΆ Taken at RSPB St Aidans last weekend.
Beautiful Helen, absolutely beautiful β€οΈ
