Huge congrats to everyone who has made this happen, especially my Co-Director @sofiejenkinson.bsky.social. It is our passion at Round Our Way to show that you can talk about important issues without being dry and wonky, and spotlight working class communities without being condescending or dreary.

A review in the Telegraph of the Beyond the Breakdown podcast calling it charming and noting how it dives into the Welsh rugby scene, interviewing the players that shape it and visiting local clubs.

Excellent research from @steveakehurst.bsky.social / @persuasionuk.bsky.social. Well worth reading if you want to understand the dynamics underpinning this week's local elections.

I used to worry politicians were setting up the public for disappointment with their overly-optimistic "green jobs" promises. Now I realise, the public just isn't really buying it anyway. www.ft.com/content/2d00...

Exclusive: Helen MacNamara named chair of progressive think tank The former top civil servant will join the Future Governance Forum, which has close links to No 10.

Excellent to have Helen
MacNamara joining the @futuregovforum.bsky.social team as Chair. The programme and track record of work Nathan and colleagues are building is really exciting.

It's heartbreaking to see the damage floods are wreaking on homes, livelihoods and now people's health.

People should not have to put up with disgusting filth flowing into their streets and parks. Good to see people Round Our Way has worked with on ITV News at 10.

Good to see so many papers picking-up
@roundourway.bsky.social's work helping flood-hit communities show how dangerous and filthy recent floods have made their neighbourhood.

It's already bad, and many are worried about what more extreme weather climate change could bring.

Pothole reports hit a five-year high in 2023 Climate change will worsen potholes but scientists hope new technology will help make them a thing of the past.

"Potholes are the bane of many of our lives ..." says Roger Harding, director of Round Our Way.

"The weather extremes that climate change brings are sadly creating many more of them at a time when cuts mean repairs are already not keeping up."

Of course working-class people care about the climate crisis: they emit the least, but will suffer m... The implications of policy are felt very differently depending on how well-off you are. Politicians need to recognise this, says Roger Harding, founding director of Round our Way

It may not be the number one issue, but we shouldn't be surprised that climate change concerns many working class people. It's why the Government rowing back on action isn't shifting the polls.

Great to talk about Round Our Way’s work in today's Guardian.
