Some stats on #forestry from Andy Sowerby during #WalesClimateWeek
- 45% of the Earth's surface was forest pre human civilization
- 31% now
- #Wales is only 13% forest cover, way below the European average.
- As a nation, the UK is only 20% timber self-dependent

Food for thought.

Mitchell Eboigbe, environmental researcher and consultant. He convened for #WalesClimateWeek a session on #flooding. This turned to be timely, as the South #Wales valleys had just had yet another round of "historic" flooding.

He shared two cheap and effective flooding mitigation solutions.
