Charity to plant 30,000 trees for Cairngorms mountain woodland A project aims to restore an almost lost type of habitat in the Cairngorms.

This is *such* great news!

Montane woodland is a rare habitat, long gone from the memories of most hillwalkers of the Highlands. This initiative will bring it right back to the forefront at one of the most visited high altitude areas of the Cairngorms.
