One of my best mates is hiring, and I would highly recommend working for her! This is an ethical environmental consulting company in the beautiful region of Cape York Peninsula, specifically Weipa. Pic of our #OzReptileAcademy snake training she gifted her staff. Job: nrmjobs.com.au/jobs/2025/20...

Occasional reminder that thereโ€™s no, โ€œitโ€™s too late, its overโ€ for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesnโ€™t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Who shot the cheetah kittens? I remember having this thought fifteen years ago when visiting the Field Museum. I understood the rationale for taking specimens for science, but stillโ€”look at those little faces. Who could make specimens of them?

Turns out there's an answer. (CW: animal death) ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงช

OpenAI doesn't report a single number for its climate impacts - not anywhere, in any way, shape or form.

It sounds kind of obvious but the fact that a company with such incredible electricity hunger isn't disclosing basic information about its energy consumption and associated emissions is v bad..

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo emerging from its treasured, thermally perfect nest hollow that literally took 100s of years to form. A reminder to fight the bull-dozing of large, old-growth trees. Did you know that 300โ€“400 species (10โ€“31% of all vertebrates) in Australia need hollows to survive?? #WildOz

We saw one such nest today on Mt. Coot-tha, stood down below as a cockatoo entered it. I immediately thought of you
