Some supplements you get from Chemist Warehouse are "practitioner only"

(sometimes only a single brand of a supplement there are other options for?)

Someone at CW has to review your order - but I always wonder, what kind of practitioner? They'd say "pharmacist" if they meant it

Part of #ChronicIllness for me is the constant tweaking of supplement regimens

I distrust the supplement industry, but I've had doctors, pharmacists and patient forums recommend stuff to me

And sometimes I feel bad enough to give anything a go

Maybe the placebo will placebo hard enough this time

Though I've avoided the dentist for a few years, I still had nothing wrong with any of my teeth

Bless the fluoridated drinking water I've drunk my whole life, both in Finland and Australia

nothing like going to look at a rental

and overhearing that your competition owns their own home and works three days a week because they own their own practice, but wants to live closer to the city

Scientists develop first ‘accurate blood test’ to detect chronic fatigue syndrome Research could offer hope for ME patients – but some experts urge caution and say more studies needed

I don't understand (well, I do, but... yeah) why folks are talking this research down.

I think it's very positive.

All parties (particularly competitors 👀) should be cheering everyone else on and moving forward with *treatments*.

ME/CFS is a devastating condition that has long been denied, dismissed, psychologised and underdiagnosed. Research is at last starting to catch up with it, with glimmers of hope for those who have been left untreated for so long.
There's a huge BUT coming ...🧵

a video game shows three burglars jumping over a wooden fence Alt: A burglar from The Sims video game wears the classic cat burglar outfit of a striped black and white shirt, a black beanie, gloves and pants. They walk across the screen on their toes at an exaggerated creep, hands held out for balance.

I've had an "evolving mole" cut out from the back of my ankle (#JustAustralianThings) and need to avoid flexing my foot

I was limping uncomfortably on my toes on the one foot until I realised nobody could stop me from walking around like this

A cross stitch project depicting scenes from the Lord of the Rings movies, including the Gates of Argonath, a Black Rider upon his Nazgul, Mordor's Mount Doom and the Eye of Sauron, a line of mountaintops and mushroom-like trees, all in vibrant colours in a stained glass style. The stitches are very small, blending together in this image in subtle colour variations. The project is unfinished, although I've completed the latest row of pages to the bottom edge.

What's wrong with dragons Martin???? 😱😱

But I can't watch the show, it's way too violent for me. I unfortunately really enjoy the books though, even despite all the unnecessary fantasy sexism

Productivity summit begins with a warning on NDIS spending Treasurer Jim Chalmers opens the much-anticipated productivity round table with an appeal for participants to seek consensus. Meanwhile, the NDIS has emerged as a key "structural issue" in the budget ...

"The NDIS was never envisaged that 40 per cent of the population would be on it. It's about giving people support who need it."

Should've thought about that before setting the Australian COVID-19 policy to "let her rip", huh?

Living with a dynamic disability is so weird

Some mornings you wake up with new symptoms and must try to divine which of your activities or behaviours in the past 24-48 hours - that have never caused these symptoms before - might have caused them

It's like my body is ruled by a capricious god

There's another problem facing the NDIS. It's probably not what you think The NDIS is getting a lot of negative press at the moment. It’s a far cry from when the scheme first started, writes Evan Young.

This article criticises the media's focus on the rising cost of the NDIS over how important it is to participants

and then it turns around to say "BUT ALSO! THE NDIS IS GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY!!!"

I don't want to pay less tax. I want to pay less rent to my extortionate landlord.

Put that in your budget and I'll vote for you #auspol
