Genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever seen a cultural venue post

That’s gorgeous! Lucky SIL.
Long haired tabby cat laying on his back on a garden path. Behind him is a small bed of tulips.
Happy #caturday!
Agreed. Usually I can hedge my bets sticking to linen or cotton online. And I love picking up fabric when traveling as a souvenir.
Exactly. It was in everyone's best interest. And by that, I mean me. It was in my best interest.
The start of a hand knit sock in a self striping yarn. It is the cuff in a 2x2 rib with about 10 rows of the leg done. The colors are navy, light blue, lavender, yellow, purple, gold and then the repeat starts. pattern: Simple textured Sock yarn: Desert Vista Dyeworks Viso in color way "The 13th Doctor"
Well, that didn't last long. To be fair, I have a current WIP with me in addition to this brand new cast on. The WIP was too big to fit into my backpack for the plane ride so my solution was a new pair of socks. #knitsky #showmeyourknits
Great choice. Unicorns are the best.
😁 It's my own fault for buying online. But it is a great print. I'm holding out hope I figure something out.
A hand made dress hanging on the back of a white door. There is fabric is a polyester in a geometric design with black and cream squares. Pattern: ZW gathered dress Fabric: polyester
Well, it’s finished. I dreaded the thought of buttonholes in this fabric so the front band is sewn overlapping. I imagine with a lot of static guard spray and a robust slip (petticoat?), it might get some wear. At the very least, it was good practice. #sewsky #garmentsewing
Long haired tabby cat sleeping on a couch. His face is smushed down into the cushion. It doesn’t look too comfortable.
Happy #caturday!
Pattern: Tulsi Yarn: knit picks Felici in Vampire Vibes
Finished! Now to get going on another WIP and resist a new cast on. #knitsky #showmeyourknits
Yay!
🥳🎉 Looks amazing!
It’s the heel in Fork in the Road Socks by Lara Neel. I’m more of an eye of partridge flap & gusset person but these afterthought heels are pretty comfortable.
A striped hand knit sock laying flat. There is a small rocket ship stitch marker noting the spot to start the afterthought heel. The strips are black, light blue, pink, red, and maroon.
Started these socks in Jun 2023.🫤 Finally to the point where I can begin the heel on the second one. I thought the little rocket was a good choice in honor of the Artemis II. 🚀🧶 #knitsky #showmeyourknits
Oh what a sweetheart. 🥰 Always there to supervise. 😆
A dress is hanging on the back of a white door. The polyester fabric is a geometric design of cream and black squares. Pattern is ZW Gathered Dress.
I love the print but I hate the fabric. I need to redo the waist as it’s only basted but otherwise it’s just about finished. Oh and pick out acouple of buttons. #garmentsewing #sewsky
Have fun with it! Don’t stress if you have to redo any parts or if it’s not exactly right. Learning is part of the fun and at the end of the day, you can reuse the yarn. 🙂
Large, long haired tabby cat is laying across a knit vest which is pinned to a blocking mat. He’s looking up at the camera as if to ask why I’m bothering him. His big old belly is squishing my blocking pins.
He’s always so helpful. Maybe he thought he could help that baby knit vest dry faster. #proofofcat #knitsky
It’s a great print. I got it on sale from Beglarian Fabrics. My usual fabric is linen or cotton so it’s driving me nuts but I’m slowly getting there.
A short sleeved camp shirt in a dark grey with little blue white and yellow stars. Pattern is the WBM Tropical shirt.
The front bodice, yokes & back sewn at the shoulder, hanging on a pink hanger. Pattern is Helen’s closet Gilbert Top. Fabric is a heavy linen. The background is a deep teal with white birds and yellow & olive green flowers.
The top of a dress, back, front, front band & sleeves sewn together. Pattern is the ZW Gathered dress. Fabric is a polyester in a geometric design of cream and black squares. It’s reminding me why I hate sewing with slippery fabric.
Buttons finally attached! One shirt finished, two more projects still in progress. #sewsky #garmentsewing
Did you know that you can preorder books through your indie bookstore? It's a great way to support both the author and the shop!
And when you preorder audiobooks on Libro, they'll appear in your app immediately on release day 💓
One pretty pink tulip in the foreground. A few dozen yellow tulips in the background of the picture. The pink tulip is slightly out of focus.

The tulips are blooming! I couldn’t decide which photo to use so here’s both. #gardening 🌱
