The speech wasn’t for the generals. The speech was for loyal grunts. He was setting up conflict between the ranks & authority. By saying they need to do PT & have a warrior mindset he was telling grunts their leadership is weak. When the loyalists are called he will expect mutiny.

I wish protestors would adopt a strategy of dressing like they were headed to board meeting, or to church. I think a lot of conservatives judge the black clothing and see “terrorists”instead of seeing people as people. It might help shift the narrative when everyone looks like a normie.
