Another pet peeve of mine is when people who are fans of shows currently and pretend like it's the same show now that it's always been. For example people who act like The Simpsons, SpongeBob, or Family Guy haven't changed over the multiple decades and loop the entire show's run all together.

A huge pet peeve of mine is when people say "Modern Family Guy" or "Modern SpongeBob" and have that describe that era as being season 4-now. Both of those shows (and shows like them) have gone through multiple eras.

Our A-Story is a "D" Story

S1, E6 - This is the first real episode that felt truly serialized continuing right after E5. Todd's b-plot again is hilarious, but this episode also delves into the rivalry between BoJack/Peanutbutter more than it being just a joke or pretty superficial.

S1, E5 - This episode is really funny. This is Todd's first real hilarious subplot of him running a scam. And the main plot adds a lot to Diane's character and is also really funny with Diane's family.

Zoës and Zeldas

S1, E4 - This episode is a good episode to start someone off with. It shows BoJack has both humor and drama. Not the best episode of season 1 but it's small sample at what the show can and will do.

Prickly-Muffin

S1, E3 - This is a classic and introduces Sarah Lynn. Todd being the voice of reason is interesting and something I'd forgotten. The twist near the end is the first time BoJack (the show) really surprised me. Still not a great episode but we do keep improving.

BoJack Hates the Troops

S1, E2 - This is a much better that digs more into BoJack as a character albeit pretty baseline and also does a better job at introducing our main 5's character dynamics.

BoJack Horseman: The BoJack Horseman Story, Chapter One

S1, E1 - This episode sets up the show but does so in such a Family Guy cutaway style that absolutely does not give a good first impression. It's kinda pointless and you could probably just skip it unless you are curious.
