Thank you Yvonne - once again I was lucky. π ππΌ
Oh thank you Amy - the βblown outβ exposure of everything but the subject does rather highlight her.

A Ruby-Throated Hummingbird perches on the stalk of a wilting Day Lily flower in mid July. She looks composed and has a grey throat despite her name, leaving that vivid colouration to her mate.

Once more I really appreciate your encouragement Alan. ππΌ
Four Canada Geese contemplate their next move while standing in the soya stubble in the early evening light of early April.

Itβs great to see beautifully presented flowers this morning Rosemarie, thank you. π«ΆπΌππΌ
A grand display of Thrushes Tori - the one on the pine branch I find to be particularly fetching. π«ΆπΌππ»
Another wonderful series Rob - great birds - fine captures - super tales in the ALT commentary.

Youβre right about that Peter - youβll have to excuse my anthropomorphization - I just canβt stop myself inventing charming tales about interacting with my wild neighbours. π
An American Robin catches a sizeable earthworm for supper amongst the soya bean stubble at the field edge, on a bright, fair spring evening.
The Robin invites us for supper.

Thanks Alan - glad that you werenβt offended by that Robinβs colourful language. πππΌ
Thank you - I was reluctant to quote his strong language so am much relieved to hear that you donβt find it objectionable. πππΌ
An American Robin is captured in the split second (the exposure here is 1/1000 of a second and we clearly see the motion blur of the Robins beak) when heβs lost his grip on a slippery well entrenched worm. Those of us whoβve tried to βpullβ worms can readily empathize. π
βDam - I dropped my worm again!β

Thank you Fright - hereβs hoping you are also in a great setting today.

I love to see a series of action shots that reveal the amazing abilities and behaviours of creatures.
Bravo Amy. π«ΆπΌππ»ππΌ
Thank you Michael - your Killdeers must be much βtamerβ than those here about as ours generally take flight if approached closer than 40 meters (130 ft.) or so. πππΌ
A very impressive set of handsome birds and images Mark.

A Redwing Blackbird perches on the very highest twig of a budding Boxelder tree on a particularly fair early spring evening. His perch is not only the apex of his tree, but highest point in the vicinity and he surveys all he sees with a masterful air.
At the apex.

Very handsome image and creature.

Thank you Fright - he does have attractive colouring. πππΌ

Thatβs a great series Jeff - interesting light, angles, and actions. ππΌππ»ππΌ
A Purple Finch perches in a White Oak tree in a very mild light. Heβs been eating and we see evidence if of that on his ample beak. (I like the palette of his plumage, extending from many tints of purple to warm tints of brown.)
Another look at the Purple Finch.

Lovely Mallard images - the delicate light casts them beautifully. ππ»ππΌ
Thank you Linda - I do find the spring migration to be a wondrous event. ππΌ
Thanks for the affirmation Alan and for not letting the Ban get the better of me. πππΌ
#1 of a series of 2 - where a Purple Finch, perched on a bird feeder in a very mild light makes shelling Sunflower seeds quick and easy. (These two photos were taken about a second apart.)

A great capture Erin - Deep blacks are tough to depict as well as you have here. ππΌππ»ππΌ
