There was literally a drink that was unironically called Soylent.
And they had a "green" option.
No intentional reference to the horror film. Completely unrelated.
I just feel like people dont bother to use Google before deciding on product names anymore.

A surprisingly exciting video!
(A literacy issue on my part, which I am lamenting.🤦♀️ All due love the poets and poetry. Its definitely me, not you.🥰)
(This post brought to you by my latest library book by a famous and celebrated poet. Every page, my face is that guy in the gif.)
Ive been a writer my whole life. I love language, the way it sounds, the flow, the meaning, metaphors, how evocative it is.
But, too my chagrin, there is so much poetry that makes me feel like an uncultured idiot.
Like... how tf do I interpret anything thats happening on this page?
Maaaybe? I dont know. Maybe I just tend to reread things obsessively anyways.
Not sure I can jump in after even a day without vibe-checking what Im doing.
Mostly mine prefer to think in terms of "justice" instead of revenge. Is there some "justice" Jack wishes he could hand-deliver? Sure. But he seems to recognize it wouldn't be as satisfying as he imagines.

Guys. It happened. I did the thing.
The eBook version of Savage as You will be out June 1st. I'm aiming for a June 15th-July 1st window for physical. It's actually coming out. After so many years, I'm overjoyed.

Getting close to the finish-line on the cover and am so stoked!
I get that some takes on twitter are deranged and absurd but we still don't need to see them
I dont want to see animals suffering.
I dont want to see animals suffering in videos.
I dont want to see animals suffering in posts bringing "awareness" to the suffering of animals.
I dont want to see animals suffering in heartwarming stories about rescues.

...are the pocket candy you'll find most readily in poorer communities.
Fancier candies would be the candy bars like coated dried fruits, nougat or marshmallow, nuts and other fillings.
... also a thing.)
Nuts play a big role in the candy business as well. Nougat and marshmallow etc, also.
One favorite fancy candy is candied orange peels coated with an espresso-flavored variation of the not-chocolate coating.
Carmels, taffies, candied fruits, gumdrops, and hard candies...
Top contender for treats is fruit. Candied fruits, gumdrops and jellies made of fruit juice.
Honey is a popular flavor, but granulated sugar is popular, so it's not the only option.
I mentioned candied crickets at one point, but these are more a savory snack, like honey-roasted peanuts (which are...

Ive mentioned that chocolate is extinct and theres a yet unnamed approximation made of beans. Its more of a filling, but can be made into a coating for candies. Rarely is it enjoyed on its own.
But there's lots of candy in the Commonwealth. They love sugar as much as anyone...

Ill point out that I have since entirely flipped the script on myself.
The way adults talk romantically about bookshops Im always like... but... the library? Is right there?
Im a library fiend now😅🥰
Thanks!!!

Flat truth? The way people talk about libraries in their childhood shows me my own privilege.
I don't remember libraries as well as I remember bookstores.
Libraries definitely played a role (like the times I missed lunch consumed by a book at the school library.)
But I bought a lot.

Talia’s personal IT department doesn’t accept cash payment directly. Only barter.
And taciturn butch Amy has only said two words the entire novel thus far, and made no facial expressions.
Its here!
Its here!

I enjoyed the first book in the series, but this one was even better!🥰
Check it out!
Hes so relatable 😓
...for her own errors. It's one of the big things that makes her connect to him. ❤️
This turns up in their first meeting when he catches himself being rude to her and is truely genuine about apologizing and starting fresh.
She finds his approach rare and it makes him worthy of standing behind.
With Charlie its really good for her to see how he genuinely works to repair damage instead of getting hung up on blame.
Having someone she can trust to be honest and actually do right by her or whoever he hurt gives her someone to trust and feel safe enough to take responsibility...
Yeah, lol, he's such a people-pleaser its hard to mess up in front of people.
Thanks!
... notice? Oh God, I hope no one noticed. Shit, shit, fix, fix, HURRY, FIX!😬

*drenched in sweat, slightly frantic*
... reluctant and brief. She will try to move on as if it didn't happen.
Nora- Utter horror. SHE made a MISTAKE?!?🤯 She immediately sets about methodically repairing it and apologizes plainly, with a full accounting of what can be fixed and how it will never happen again.
Bayle- PANIC! Did anyone-
... spiral in self-loathing and bad coping mechanisms. She's learning from Jack how to apologize and repair better.
Helena? Straight to self-doubt, shame, and either shutting down or having an outburst.
Talia gets deeply embarrassed, but hides it under a tough exterior. Any apologies will be...
