Day 29. If you're an introvert, is it hard to write extrovert characters and visa versa?
Not really.

I'm an introvert in the sense that I need to spend energy to socialize. I can be outgoing, but it costs me.
Some of my characters clearly don't suffer from that, and some do, but for most side characters, it doesn't come up.

#QueerPrompts
Heck yeah. I dont get how that feeling works.
I can have friendly and highly social characters, but even then, I always imagine them going home after the party and kinda collapsing, or even getting occasionally into funks where they need alone-time.
From what I can tell from the writing process of “Pixels & Potions” and “Hook on Murder”
#QueerPrompts #threadedtales #writingcommunity #scififantasy #pixelsandpotions #hookonmurder
Oddly enough, it's fairly easy for me to write extroverts.
Basically, I'm just writing down the opposite of what I'd do in any social situation. 😂
#QueerPrompts
#QueerPrompts Yes and no. I can write an extroverted personality well enough, but the internal thoughts of said extroverted character is harder for me. Sometimes I worry that I’ve given them an introverted brain 😅
#QueerPrompts March 29
I'm the type of introvert who gets panic attacks from phone calls and cries talking to people in person, but I also spend so much time in my head imagining what I would say and do that writing extroverts is a therapeutic release.
#QueerPrompts I'm an introvert to a fault, but I somehow manage to write extrovert characters just fine.
I think it's the years spend masking around large groups that does it
Yes. I am fundamentally an introvert despite consistently finding myself doing work that involves public outreach. I have an extraverted friend and spending time with her has been revelatory as to ‘how the other half lives.’
I don’t ‘get’ it enough to write from an extravert’s POV.
#QueerPrompts
#QueerPrompts as side characters no problem at all, but as the main character….so difficult. I have to rewrite so many things! In my drafts I often capitalize each word when writing an extrovert pov - to remind me that they think and act differently from how I would
#QueerPrompts March 29: If you're an introvert, is it hard to write extrovert characters or vice versa?
I don't think so? I'm an introvert, but I can be extroverted around patients or in social situations, and I've learned to mask quite well. So I think I know enough of both to write both? 😅
It's a little tricky...
but the way I learned to write an extrovert as an introvert myself;
Is studying behavior and mannerisms from characters in media, taking notes, and carefully doing my method acting process with those notes in mind till it became more natural.

(1/2🧵)
Granted I haven't done very extroverted and am yet to approach very introverted (next project, I swear), but I do the quiet individual, brash, opinionated haterr, and always socio-shopathy with girlfriends very well

I'm an extrovert (skewed ambivert) but everyone I know is an introvert so no, not really. My favourite characters are usually extroverted homebodies like me. I think Benson and Declan are both described that way. Asher was just depressed lol.

#QueerPrompts 28. Who would make a good therapist?
Mammity would make a great therapist. She's an eager listener, and she loves to give advice but he advice always is positive and meant to help you reflect on the things you previously said. She also has a very positive attitude as do most fairies
March 28 - who in your story would make a good therapist?
In the Radiant Tomb, that would definitely be Ayelet, the nard with a past as a cleric of Prana, the goddess of life.
That said, Holo, to he dwarf changeling, is good at making you confront your problems, sometimes by literally throwing you at them (as Kit recently found out).

March 28:
I think out of the three characters, Wynn would make a better therapist. She’s level headed and keeps Beckett’s anxiety in check. Rainbow can’t even take care of herself.
#QueerPrompts
Tabitha Tasia, most definitely.
She's a fae wise woman that has lived for hundreds of years. Full of wisdom, insight, knowledge, intuition, understanding, and experience.
An archetypal Crone (wise woman)
#QueerPrompts March 27: Free Friday or show or movie like your story
Magpie pickings from various places.
#QueerPrompts March 28: Who would make a good therapist?
Daryl, uncharistically shy about his profession, tells Archie he is a therapist. Archie pours out his problems to Daryl and feels better.
Ironically, Daryl is the one he believes is responsible for those problems. But having no one else...

Me: *glances over at Jack from Mudlarks*
Jack: *is a therapist*
Or at least he was for a few years, and would make a pretty good one again, if he wanted.
#QueerPrompts March 28: Who would make a good therapist?
Stephanie is a good listener and very observant (she has to be to keep up with the latest gossip and fashion trends). Her BFF Tien is good with practical advice about life and relationships (and plenty of sarcasm). Perfect therapy duo! 😆
😂 My characters are all in desperate need of therapy.
They'd have to go out of the story to find someone capable of wrangling their trauma.

#QueerPrompts 27. Show or movie like your wip?
Not exactly like but it has elements similar to American Gods (minus the shitass creator of it 🤬), Percy Jackson, Legion

March 27 -show or movie like your story...
I find this question reductive but the circle and the shadow series is kind of like what if Chris Claremont wrote Lord of the Rings. not even kidding .

#QueerPrompts The religious fanaticism in The Witch of Eden Hollow is very similar to that of Slewfoot by Brom 👀 I also drew inspiration of the cult's tone and how it tears relationships apart from the movie The Witch (love that movie it's so good)
