Kit was a side character in book one (Curse of the Onyx Heart) and now she's the lead protagonist of The Radiant Tomb, but The Circle and the Shadow series has an ensemble cast where different characters will step forward in different books.

In the Radiant Tomb, that would definitely be Ayelet, the nard with a past as a cleric of Prana, the goddess of life.

That said, Holo, to he dwarf changeling, is good at making you confront your problems, sometimes by literally throwing you at them (as Kit recently found out).
