Is this not US? Hopefully, people won’t take it as coming from Canada if they are not familiar with the source.
Instead of flowers, people bring sticks to this dog’s grave. ❤️
A close-up of the Nova Scotia tartan showing its signature pattern of overlapping squares in blue, white, greens, red, and gold. The fabric has a traditional wool texture.
Happy #TartanDay - Nova Scotia had the first provincial tartan in Canada. Blue and white are for the surf-ridden sea, greens for the forests, red for the royal lion on the Arms of Nova Scotia, and gold for the province’s historic Royal Charter.

If the obituary does not say where the person died, do not assume you know where they died. Do not assume they died in the town where the funeral home is at or where the obituary was in the newspaper. #genealogy

People migrated together, married into each other’s families, and witnessed each other’s documents.

“Genealogy has a habit of quietly rearranging the furniture of our identity.”
That line has been sitting with me while writing my latest post.
It’s about the moments when family history challenges what we think we know about ourselves.
Sharing it very soon…..
