Daisy is ready for spring. A higher setting on the thermostat would also be acceptable. # dogs
Peaceful evening. #catsofbluesky
My poor loom is naked. Must fix that post-haste. #weaving
Today, honor a King, not a Felon. #mlkday2025
Just knit a huge Aran sweater in 2 months exactly.

My spouse treats his sweater as though it is precious and should not leave the house. Now I can campaign for us to go out and about at least once so people can see us in our matching sweaters, and admire his sweater in the process.
Now recently I decided to knit up that sweater yarn I had put aside. I looked around for a suitable pattern, and landed on the same one I had knit for my spouse. So now we have (sort of) matching sweaters.
This is how I knit the same enormous sweater twice: Back in 2018, I ordered yarn for a sweater for my spouse. The yarn came, and it was the wrong color. He did not like the color, but I did. I put the yarn away, ordered the correct color, and proceeded to knit a giant Aran sweater for my spouse.

The Aran sweater is ready for seaming! One forgets just how large these projects are. I’ll be a week seaming it, I’m sure. #knitting
It jingles when it moves!
Oh! I almost forgot to say - this piece started as raw fleece. I scoured it one amazing lock at a time, hand combed it into top, spun it worsted (so, "true worsted") and knit it. My first fleece-to-finished piece, and my main winter scarf.
I love making things but hate repairs. Also my manual dexterity has now officially outstripped my vision. #knitting
Off the loom, fringe twisted, wet-finished, loose ends trimmed, and steamed. So pretty.
Silk/wool/cashmere from TheGossamerWeb on Etsy, such nice yarn, but I won't be doing a tonal again because the darker strands look like small mistakes!

A large weaving loom is shown from the back. The end of the warp is almost advanced to the heddles.

The end (of the warp) is near! #weaving
Give her what she really wants this holiday season. Death to the patriarchy, bodily autonomy, and real pockets in every dress and pair of pants.
Thanks!

I have 249 followers. How did this happen? All I do is post random happy photos. I try for one a day. And here I am, with 249 followers. I feel famous. Here is a photo of my cat Edgar, looking like a demon under our Christmas tree where he has once again displaced the tree skirt.
