Thanks for posting! I noticed Loomis ordered root beer. That reminded me of Quark and Garak's root beer discussion on DS9. ๐Ÿฅค

Yes, Chang's reaction and what happened on the BOP was so good they had a similar sequence in the next movie "Generations" with Lursa and B'etor (and reused the shot of the BOP exploding). ๐Ÿ˜€

Nice pick. A memorable "badmiral" and Riker has a difficult choice to make.

#ScanningTreks Day 20: The Unknown - Spock, "The Naked Time"

After analyzing the state of the Psi 2000 control room & personnel and providing a status report to Kirk, he asked what caused it. Spock replied "Unknown ... It's like nothing we've dealt with before"

Nice pick. We read that book for a Trek Book Club discussion last year. It was a good one.

Nice pick. I like the Degra character and his story arc in S3. To me, he was one of the MVPs from ENT S3.

#ScanningTreks Day 19: Tilly Scans - DSC's "Unification III"

Tilly was not sure if she should accept Captain Saru's offer to be his Acting First Officer until she saw all the support and encouragement given to her by her fellow Discovery crew members.

Yes, that was a very tense and exciting sequence - one of my favorite scenes from the TOS movies I would have wanted a couple of more scenes with the Excelsior and the Enterprise battling Chang's BOP before the torpedo tracked down his ship.

Yes, one of my favorite Geordi-centic episodes.

Ah yes, that was a nice scene which showed Janeway's concern and openness about their predicament. One of the best early VOY scenes and episode.

Thank you. That continued the '90s trend of having a legacy character appear in the new Trek show's pilot, serving as a bridge between shows. (e.g. McCoy with TNG, Picard with DS9, Quark with VOY and Cochrane with ENT).

#ScanningTreks Day 18: Signature - "TUC"

In the battle with General Chang and the Klingon Bird of Prey, Spock and Uhura realized they can be defeated by modifying one of their photon torpedoes to look for the BOP's plasma exhaust.

#ScanningTreks Day 16: T'Pol scans - ENT's "Broken Bow"

During the launch of the NX-01, T'Pol mentioned that the coordinates were off by .2 degrees. Archer acknowledged it & gave the order to "Let's go". This quick scene symbolized their different styles.

Just a reminder that Simon & Schuster's monthly Trek e-book sale for April is available (at least in the US). There are lots of e-books from different Trek series on this month's list. Thanks.๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“ท

Nice pick. "Eye of the Needle" is my favorite VOY S1 episode. It had Vaughn Armstrong as the Romulan Telek and also developed the Doctor/Kes friendship when she defended him to the Voyager crew.

Yes, that's a really great episode. It's one of the best episodes in the franchise (and my #2 favorite TNG episode after "The Best of Both Worlds").

Yes, just like the S2 finale helped set up the Vorta and the Jem'Hadar, this S3 finale helped set up the Dominion War arc, one of the best aspects of the show.

When Quark was trying to pressure Harry into buying some crystals by threatening to report him to his CO, Harry gave them a quick scan and was ready to buy. Tom to the rescue ...

An excellent choice. I remember being very impressed with that shot when I saw it in the movie theater.

Oh, I didn't know that about him. Interesting!
