Not yer. I'll keep you updated. I'm counting the differnt bird species inspecting the hole in the oak.
It's "koo-ing" 1.5 m from my office.
Cute you say but I can't shut my ears π

It is!
That is so lovely. Excellent shape and colour
Watercolour of wading bird facing to left, with narrow bill, big dark eye and mottled brown-grey plumage over the top of the head and across the back and wings. Belly is white, tail is tipped slightly up, facing the viewer. Shadow behind on the ground.

And it's not correct. Chaplin's birthday is the 16 π
"It's Hitlers and Charlie Chaplins birthdays, take your pick" someone said. So it stuck. I've wouldn't remember unless I stumbled across a copy looking for something else

Five symbols, black on red paper, representing my five papers in my thesis. The were the inset papers separating the chapters. Pollen analyses, land cover change, grassland history and biodiversity, grassland ecology, and modelling.
On this day, 25 years ago (WTF!) I defended my thesis. A rabbit in the headlights, I didn't enjoy a full lecture hall, a useless supervisor, my department then, despite a brilliant opponent & mentor. But all in all it went quite well and I'm afraid my position as an underdog doesn't work anymore π€ͺπ§ͺπ

I've had it since it was golf ball size. I need to prepare for battle. I'm actually more worried that I break it π¬
That is so nice to hear.
I hope it can pick up something when I retire and be good at it. Music? Ski jump? Moahaha...
Thank you π

No inspiration but got an idea triggered by @lakesstiles.bsky.social and @dribelad.bsky.social about favourite dales in the Dales. A5 can I fill it? BTW it's not my favourite

What do you think?
It will be lovely and warm in our birdboxes. I put the hair on my Taxus and can see birds flying off with it
Uhu..., is it time again?
Repotting this beastie.
It hasn't 'unfolded' completely yet. The ridges gets smoother when it is full of water. That also means it's heavier.
Soon fotball size. "Mother-in-law's pillow"
